Tell us about the 77 CR125. Such an obsolete bike at the time, but I'm an Elsinore freak.....call me odd. I have the majority of a brand new one I need to try and finish up.

Tony Wynn. First guy in the USA to race a CR125 Elsinore at a big time event.....the St Louis 125 GP in August, 1973!! I think he finished 6th or 7th OA that day? (Marty S was still on his factory Monarch) Talk about drawing crowds of people to see one bike....EVERYONE was waiting on those things to hit the dealers floors!!

Didn't matter what it was, Tony rode it fast!!

I made the drive to the Jaycee's race twice....fuggin HOT and DUSTY!! Jorski talked me into that sheit....

I remember him coming to Lakeland MX in Memphis Tn one time. He hauled butt for sure. I think I went to a NMA race near Little Rock one time that was on the edge of the river. Is that the track?

I've been to that track for a LLQ and Mike Lambert (Dirtbike Mike) promoted it. There was another track in the 70s near Little Rock that was beside a river and I think it was called Tony Wynn MX also.

Not to long before that. I was riding a Husky 125 that day. The rotary valve KX broke about every other moto. Those Colorful Ken Suzuki were the best. Wish I had them all back.

Yes that is Ft. Smith. If you look real close we are wearing the same pants. I forgot my gear and Tony let me wear a pair of his. Someone has that pic from the back and has Tony on the back of both pairs.

I never saw Wynn race but would know Trey Jorski's style anywhere. To many Saturday nights at 59th and Douglas not to. I also have somewhat foggy memories of Jorski winning all three expert classes at a motocross in Yukon, Okla on a Monark 125. Help me out here Trey, is that accurate???

Snake Pipe!

If you please, could you put up more pictures of this bike. Other side as well.

THOR swingarm, or KLP / other replica?

The shocks - on the tip of my tongue, Noleen?  I think RT G3 and MXTech guesses are probably wrong.

Yes sir I can.  I need a couple of days as this motorcycle is a gift and the person hasn’t received it yet.

Thanks for the pictures!

The shifter linkage is interesting. I don't know a lot about CZs to know why that set up is used on that bike : be it a product of peg changes / relocation, Big Feet / whatever of previous user.

But, I've done many linkage set ups on hybrid builds over the years - 4t engines in 2t chassis, and vice versa. Often, the lever shaft location on an engine, just won't work well with the donor chassis. Quite often on  builds, I've done linkages from the shaft, to a lever using the swingarm pivot bolt as the gear lever pivot center.

I think a few companies marketed such things on some YZs in the 90s that had difficulty with shifting?

I have rebuilt 72&73 CZ250's and never seen or imagined your shifter linkage (20-30 years ago). I do remember that you had to move your foot a lot more to shift. Long throw. Thanks for the pics. I have a friend that still has his 72 and looking for a snake pipe. His pipe has been crushed/repaired and needs replaced.

The gentleman that I picked the bike up from said that he found the pipe and then set out to build the bike because the pipe was so cool

I problem.  I think it was Doug Dubach that ran a linkage shifter on his yz at Loretta’s in the stock class and they DQ’d him for it.

Tony was def the best guy to come out of Arkansas. My Dad was really close with him from the beginning, racing and partying. Phil Reed was one of the kids Tony used to help out with parts and stuff from his racing shop. A really nice guy, I have never heard a bad word about him and even the World Champ Lackey gave him props for being a really fast guy. Here’s a cool shot of Tony in 73 racing the intl class in Ohio Trans AMA  BAAF942D-5E30-431A-9A12-87632E46CDC8
