To answer another way, if Husky had stayed in Sweden and maintained the type of quality craftsmanship that my '79 390CR had, they'd have sold a lot more bikes over the years than they sold of those Italian knock-offs. I'm probably one of the few people who got off a '79 Husky 390CR and got on a Maico 490 Mega 2 and missed the old Husky.

I would buy one right now if I had the money. The asian bikes have been cheaper to purchase and maintain, but I'd buy the Husky, whether it's built in Italy, Germany or Sweden. Especially the 310.

I'd buy one. You Nippon centric dorks don't know what yer missin'. There's Husqvarna, KTM, Beta, TM, BMW,Gas Gas, Sherco, as well as others to choose from. I think Japanese bikes are the best quality but the others are good in their own right.

I've got 4 of them in the garage , '82 500CR, '83 250CR, '83 500CR, '08 TC510. Of course I'm the same nutjob that in last 10 years has had 3 GasGas 250MC, 2 KTM 380SX and 1 TM 300MX yeah I kinda like to be different. The new Husky is sweet ride , try one if you get a chance you might be suprised. To a man everyone that has ridden mine liked it said handled very well and motor was killer. So far stone-cold reliable and breeze to work on. Oh yeah, that magic red button is like....butter.

I DID buy a Husky, I have a 2006 CR125 and a 2008 TC450 and love them both! I have
pretty good dealer support and they pay contingency in area.

A local dealer gave me 2 2002 125's for cost to race locally and promote the new dealership. They looked impressive to me and the contingency money was good so I decided to take a shot. I took them down to florida to get ready to try to qualify for daytona. Boy did I find out I made a HUGE mistake! Those things were total heaps. I had fast by feracci do the motor and suspention and it still was a heap of crap. Boy was I wishin I had my YZ back. You couldnt give me a husky now.

exactly my 01 YZ250F was a no turning, hard to start pig!! but i hear the new ones are pretty awesome.... so comparing bikes from 7-8 years ago is liek comparing red apples to granny smiths.. yea they are both apples but they are different

I had the Husky 390 Automatic.It maybe was a 1979 or 80' I dunno it had a black tank with silver on it. Geez I remember that thing almost snapping my calf kicking it..
I see some Husky around the tracks people seem to like them.

I was recently asked this question by a friend of mine who is a dealer. I told him hell no I wouldn't buy one. He replied what if i put you on one for free next season. To make a long story short you may be seeing me write about my '10 Husky 250 soon enough. Can't pass up something free lol

I would buy another if I had the money, currantley own 78 390 WR and an 06-250WR 2smoker. I am off roader and they are great. I especially like dealing with small dealers who like to know thier customers and take care of them.

The shop name is Down and Dirty Racing, they have only dealt in used bikes and parts up until now, I guess they are becoming a Husky dealer or at least highly interested, I dont think anything is set in stone yet. It's right near my house so I go there to buy small things, but I ride for Cernics at the moment lol.
