Yeah, it appears to be a quality switch and is easy to push in. I also added the Nihilo SOS switch, which I had to use until the Motominded switch was available. It works great, if you happen to need it.

Anyone try the ride engineering start switch that mounts to the throttle on these yet? I think I might try one to get rid of the stock one and use a standard kill switch on the left side.
Haven’t seen these… I looked on their website, but don’t see them, guessing they are a new part ? Post a pic or a link if you have one, sounds interesting

And are you guys just wiring right into the stock plug? How do you remove the wires without damaging it?
If you’re asking about the Motominded model, The switch comes with the plug on it. Plug and play.
Nihilo as well…
I guess I misread your post
I was looking under Enduro Engineering, I guess that’s why I didn’t see it on their site. Lol
Ha! Truthfully it's not easy to find on their site either. They have made them for a few years now and I've been wanting to try one. I just hate this stock setup so I think I'll give it a go. Waiting for the pulp discount code before I order lol.
Haven't seen that one. Looks awesome. I wanted the start switch on the left though. Thanks for sharing!
I ordered a switch today so I'll post up how it goes once it's installed.
Don't know if this has been discussed already, but has anyone owned both the SX 300 and a YZ 250? What are the differences and similarities?
Off my FB page,,,23’ 250 TBI..looks bad.
That right there is what you call grenaded.
Yikes!!!!! How many hours on it? Wrist pin looks like it was heated with a torch?
Not sure how many hrs but it looks like the small rod end snapped…it is very weak there with a huge oil relief cut out instead of a hole, all that stress and heat right there.
I had a 21 YZ 450 that the rod broke in the same exact spot. Don't know where parts and materials are coming from in these times but wouldn't expect that from KTM! The 4 strokes used to be advertised with Pankl Rods and trans but now they only mention Trans?
Lots of people were wondering about fuel tank interchangeability, the old model required different fuel pumps because the pumps were in different locations in between sx,XC,wc tanks. The new ones all use the same center pump location. Just got my SX tank and it’s the exact same shape as my XC tank in the pump area. Straight swap, cheers 🍻
TBI use the same conrod as 2017-2022?
Pit Row
Are you a Park Tool rep or something haha! Nice setup and good info.
Ohh man I wish lol! Thanks
Looks like the same rod fits multiple years so Wossner has a rod for it with the typical holes in the rod end. Wonder if the failure is due to a lean condition? Wrist pin looks discolored.
I think like 2003-2023 if I read it right. Although it's not wide spread I have seen this before on a few bikes. Could be porous metal, etc, if you saw one in your hands you would replace it right away, it's so thin.
Where is everyone getting the redbull graphics?

Put a deposit down on a 300 and am going to pick it up tomorrow. Any thing to look for or do before I take it home? Around 3.5hr to the dealer but the price was thousands less otd than near me. Check for map update???? etc. Long time lurker here so thanks in advance!
I would ask them when they prepped the bike, if it was a while ago, there may be ECU updates since then, only way to know is to have them hook it up to KtM diagnostic computer & any newer Maps should be pushed to the ECU. Ask them to verify your TPS setting is correct while they are at it…
Perfect!
Every time I've bought an Austrian bike, the dealer hooks it to the computer at time of sale to unlock the ECU and register the sale with KTM. The ECU's are locked on the showroom floor so the bike won't start if it's stolen, is how I understand it. Not sure if this also accomplishes flashing the most current map and ECU settings at the same time?
Yeah, the dealer unlocks the ECU at purchase which then triggers any updates. The ECU unlock activates the warranty and bike sale for the dealer.
If you’re going to be riding in the woods, grab a set of the KTM hard parts aluminum hand guards. Also, the KTM hard parts billet brake pedal tip that replaces the shitty stock one is a good purchase. Maybe grab some additional air filters to bring home so you alway have one on deck.
Other than the bling or exhaust upgrades (unnecessary), this bike hardly needs anything. It’s pretty damn close to perfect from the showroom floor.
Excellent, thanks for all of the info fellas! Much appreciated. I've been XC racing my 2017 450 xcf and it's outfitted with all of the goods for that so I'm hoping adding this 300 to the stable brings a fun/playful element into my riding and racing. I love my 450 but the fomo is real on these 300's so I figured it would be great to have them both side by side to find out what bike platform I want to move forward with.
