Even if we do get pictures, they will still not be the most controversial four stroke mini pictures on the internet. I present to you, the largest jump ever done on an xr100.

So it would have been between 02-04 when the mini 4 stroke class was big. Alessi had a fully built cr80 expert with a xr100 motor built to 150, Vermeer(I think) built the motor if that’s the correct spelling, and Donnie Elmer I believe built the frame and a one off fmf custom exhaust. My friends family protested the bike and bought it at either Ponca or I believe Whitney. For like 4k or around there. Bike was tricked out fully but when it was protested the first thing they did was rip out all the suspension components but left the rest alone, it was later fitted with EBR suspension and raced by my buddy. He has had the bike in his attic since 2004 and just got it down and I am picking it up this week. I’d like to know what this may be worth, it still has all the Alessi stuff that was immediately taken off and saved to preserve it. I’d like to know more details too if anyone can help me with memory on this story.
Vermeer makes the sickest wood chippers and possible race engines 🤷🏼‍♂️

I remember the Langtown Races from MXA back in the day. I always wanted a trick fourstroke mini.

Bought my nephews CR85, sold the motor N electronics. Picked up a freshly rebuilt XR100 motor.

I was doing research on how to modify the frame for every thing to fit. I recall the airboot was a big head scratcher. About the time I was ready to tear into the project and order parts/start cutting frame, Honda released the CRF150. Not only took the wind out of my sails, but also the whole CR/XR cottage industry that popped up almost overnight.

I still have the CR85 & XR100 motor. Anyone?
What has been done to the XR100 motor? How Much$$$ ?

From my foggy memory:

Stock rebuilt motor. Not built by me. Not been fired.

As far as $$ are concerned, Make me an offer.

I just seen your from the great state of Texas. Probably not worth the hassle as I am in WV.

Thanks for the reply. Was looking for some mods and don’t want to do it myself.

Man those photos bring me back -

I don’t know how many people would believe it, but you would get more spectators lining the fences to watch those two go at it more than any pro race the entire weekend.

Crazy to think those two guys have a grand total of 1 regional supercross title. Had Mike maybe gone a different way with the people around him, and Davi applied himself, the history books would have been so different.

Looks like trail bike motors in mini frames, about to start on my bored and stroked "xr92" powered cr85 project this weekend!

Also, love the channel dude!

Unsolicited advice from a long time XR100 engine builder here. I have them raced reliably at 171 cc.

Investigate the Japanese made Kitaco SE Pro 145 conversion kit if you go ahead with commissioning a decent build.

I was there as well, they were pretty much wide open everywhere. I think Whitney had over 3,000 entries that year, 3 divisions of classes.

Its a sorta common practice! look up rm85 drz conversions or cr85 xr100 conversions!

To be fair OP was throwing Molotov’s from inside his own house trying to get the pitchforkers outside.

I was surprised the majority on here knew nothing about this.
