Originally he was making fun of the very types that currently support him, and people weren’t smart enough to realize.
Its dirt bike culture, its supposed to be about fun, Ron brings his own brand of humor and we all watched it. Ron also has a huge social media following, and I am a little surprised Procircuit didnt try to capitalize on a bit more.
I would’ve died had Mitch said something along the lines of: “Jimmy, you’re nearly 40 years old son. It’s time for you to go ahead and come to grips with the fact you are a constant revolving temp agency employee at best. Go home and get a job and try to contribute in a different way than with this garbage. You’re the exact outcome of a homeschooled kid who stayed in this industry because you and your loved ones know you are unemployable in a real work environment.” Then Mitch goes back to his office to work and run a business and leaves Jimmy dumbfounded. This whole Ronnie Mac thing is so 2012 that it made me almost go get my HookIt account back up and running.
I don't know if its really that easy to get to talk with Mitch. But I would guess that Mitch had to know the deal with who he was going out to see. He could have sent somebody back out to say he was busy. He did seem really mad. But it was a well made video, it had a storyline that kept the viewer engaged . Even the ones that disliked it watched enough of it to comment on it. If Mitch was acting he is a pretty good actor. I've gotta think there had to be some cooperation otherwise the video would not be showing Mitch's part.
I thought it was already well known that most reality shows were anything but real. Maybe Mitch's reaction was real, and Ronnei smooths things over enough off video to be able to use the clip? Who knows, I used to watch the goon riding videos of his, I am not as much of a fan of the direction he had gone , but this video was pretty funny. edgy enough but cleaned up compared to some of his older stuff. I'm happy for him to be able to keep living the dream of riding a dirtbike for a living.
Thought Ronnie and FMF were associated anyways. I only watched the part with Mitch, seemed real, but like others said, Mitch had to be in on it. Also, didn't Jimmy/Ronnie go too far once and got in some trouble. Thought that is what led to him not doing the Des Nations with Travis and K Dub....and I sure do miss Georgia reporting at the races.

I find it so strange the way people react to Mac. It's a laugh, a bit of fun in the sea of over-seriousness. You need pressure relief valves. I seriously can't understand how people who literally ride dirt bikes can be like this. You do the most child-like activity on the planet. (and that isn't actually a problem btw)
At the end of the day Mitch must have been OK with it, or else they couldn't publish the video.

In my early teen years when Jimmy was new into doing this god awful bit I remember thinking it was easily one of the most un-funny things I had ever seen. Now fast forward to my 20’s with two kids it’s even more sad now. If they ever find themselves being consumed by this sport it’s my job to let them know the Ronnie Mac character is a loser. Imagine the day Jimmy has to explain this bit to his son(s) and/or daughter(s). Which leads me back to your point. I would much rather have a job making money being myself and not have to explain myself to my kids than goon riding for the culture and views pretending to be an alcoholic foul mouth felon. Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion. I’ll watch Dungey SX/MX highlights and others will watch Ron.

I would say Mitch passing on a beer is definitely scripted but it was PBR so now I'm really not sure.

Not of fan of Ronnie or this style of humor, but that couldn’t have gone any better. They didn’t go to Pro Circuit to have Mitch play along and roll out a god damn red carpet. Albertson and everyone with him knew how Mitch would act. He ain’t got time for the bull shit, the shit ass hamburgers or the god damn pickles on the floor. Mac got the best video possible. I applaud both parties!
Jimmy is making all kinds of money with the whole (Ronnie Mac gig) Mitch is the owner of a professional race team. I don’t think he had prior knowledge that they had ramps set up in his parking lot and was pissed that the crew came into his headquarters and tried to make a video. No foul on Jimmy but Mitch was just having no part of it. I can see how Mitch would be pissed.
