Vlaanderen owned the place last year and he should do well again.
Yeah i don't think that will work now that herlings is back
What I find strange is that Gajser wasn't on entry list for Argentina MXGP, but now his name is there on Sardegna's entry list. Is he racing or MXGP has him there for no reason? Just to increase number of riders?
No, he won't race. Nor will Scotty Verhaeghe in MX2, although he is listed.

Damn... Only 26 riders in MXGP, 24 in MX2 and 46 in EMX250. And that is with entry fees at 300 euro and killing of EMX Open.
For comparison, first emx250 GP weekend in 2020 (the final pre-covid GP) at Valkenswaard had 40 entries in MXGP, 40 entries in MX2 and 96 (!) in EMX250. And that was with 1.000 euro per wildcard.
Not sure what is causing this, but tbh i had expected the numbers to be a lot better than this.
The costs to get there. Entries were low last year as well at Sardegna.
Excited to see how Cannon and Van Drunen do in WMX this year
The reduction in EMX250 may well be down to the age reduction to "21 and you're out", this year.
I'm seeing 54 EMX250s, and 30 MX2, at the moment. So, at least 84 250s may be there. Not including the WMX entries.
Luongo may have thought the lower EMX250 age limit would would bring up MX2 entries, together with the far more reasonable entry fees. But no, he and his son, appear to have just limited the EMX250 attendance. That should have remained up to 23, and MX2 Should have No bloody age limit.
When will those f**kers realize they are so limiting the classes, and, sending riders away from the World Championships, back to, or Off to, various Nationals? Never, it appears : Luongo so believes in his pyramid.
Maybe lower early entries, so far, are partially due to Sardegna being a bit difficult to get to? I had some fun and games with both the GP I went to, and the Six Days in 2013. Are there any National races on this weekend?
It may just be an anomaly; entries for other mainland Euro GPs are said to be pretty good, and Luongo is saying they will apply the 52 (I think) riders per class limit. Indicating that he, at least, thinks all is well. Though, he's acted like that throughout his reign. There's an interview on his sycophants' site with him in the last few days.
Though, Perhaps we will see more 'wildcards', that may have late entries? People can procrastinate, unfortunately.
Funnily enough, I think I saw the WMX entries, up around 35?
Where do you see the 30 mx2? The official document that is in this topic has 25 riders?
Just now, in the MXGP site.
I'm not arguing about 5 extra riders - I'm hoping that there will be a few more, and, that we are just seeing a bit of procrastination with entries.
I know with myself, with more local to me events I participated in, I'd be a bit slack with pre- entry, but when it came to Interstate, or OS races, I was never going to 'wing it', with regards to acceptance, and travel. Though, I did turn up at the 98 World MTB Championships, without my International License. It had jumped ship during my racing in the USA. I had to hang around at sign in, looking for the most casual, French speaking (so much for the Canadian Dual Language system - some of the Quebecois would never deign to speak or understand English, or, 'Strine) Official, and bluff them with our then new, fancy schmancy Credit Card type OZ drivers license .......
Vlaanderen looked spicy yesterday at the Dutch Masters, first moto came from the back off the pack to P4 with being the fastest most off the moto, second moto he closed a 7th second gap to Herlings with passing Febvre in between. Got a crash shortly after but his speed was really good.
If Vlaanderen can get his start sorted this weekend he could and should be a front runner. Same for Brent Van Doninck, he is also looking really good lately and is a good sand rider.
Can Herlings go for a win This weekend?
prado has been trainig a lot of sand with Smets in Belgium over the winter, he might just come out with 2nd in a row.?
Picks anyone?
I have absolutely no idea again. Definitely didnt pick Fernandez to win last week
Here goes nothing
Prado
Herlings
Seewer
Reneaux
Febvre
De Wolf
Geerts
Längenfelder
v/d Moosdijk
Benistant
It is really open and hard to predict but i would be very surprised if there isnt at least 1 from the group of Vlaanderen, Bogers & van Doninck in the top 5.
Yeah but which of my 5 do I keep out of the top 5 then?
Fun fact: despite Vlaanderen dominating with a 1-1 last year, Prado actually set the fastest lap time on race day by almost a second.
Maybe Seewer. Seewer hasnt scored a top 3 moto at Lommel or Sardignia in the past 2 year (8 motos).
I probably pick Seewer before i would pick van Doninck or Bogers. But 1 of Vlaanderen Bogers & van doninck imo has more chance to finish top 5 then Seewer. If that makes sense :-)
I think Mattia Guadagnini could do well this weekend.
He could be the next Italian that might get a Championship. Not this year, but in the years to come.
Mattia's only about 20 / 21 years of age? So, with that and the team he's on, he has a good thing going on.
And, I'd like to see Seewer catch up in points, after his "I can Flyyyyyy" incident in Argentina. He's a very lucky bloke, not to have been really damaged in that prang.

That's not that hard herlings wins easy........in the mx2 i think jaco geerts wins or just maybe kay de wolf he has the speed if he says on his bike
Mx1
1 herlings 2 coldenhof 3 febvre
Mx2
1 geerts 2 coenen 3 horgmo
Herlings, Prado, van Doninck
Benistant, De Wolf, Coenen
Mitch Evans already out for the weekend, this guy can’t stay healthy.
Cruel sport.
Anyone noticed Haarup not linning up? Also yesterday on the Kawasaki mxgp page on instagram, no mection to him. A bit strange, after what happened in Argentina
He been practicing 450f. Seems they didnt get that 250f running so could he make jump to 450f as he is tall to 250 anyway? Kawasaki mxgp is different team as Haarup is running Dixon team?
Kawasaki mxgp is the page of Kawasaki teams in mxgp where they mection all the main teams kawasaki. Factory kawasaki 450, Fh Kawasaki and Dixon. Strange that no official press about this.
I'm only picking Vlaanderen for the win.
Lotte Van Drunen just did quite well in the first WMX Moto of the year.
I didn't know she was on a Kawasaki now, but she just put 1/2 a minute into the second place rider, and, 44 seconds on Courtney Duncan , in 3rd.
A Dutch girl on a sand track........ who would have thunk it
. She's 15 years of age, 16 in August. It will be interesting to see her progression.
