Can Someone Explain This

I’ve been enjoying the coverage for $5 a month. 

They are trying to not miss anything live. Everyone complained about it years back when they bounced around and missed something. Now they are trying new things to fix that and people complain. 

If they are trying to miss any action, they might as well put a third box in the bottom left corner...follow three battles at the same time...and not have a bunch of wasted space on the screen. 

I’ll not complain about that if they would show the top 9 finish the heat race instead of leaving the camera on the winner continuously after he crosses the line…😠🤦

I remember 2000 or 01 ,on sx nite in front of the confuser with audio only ,Holley and someone, live timing ,and this instant messenger chat that would just be full of industry folks ,they'd let me in cause of moonshine and I rode a motorbike purdy good. Plus,virtual grandstand was a guy at the race typing updates.

It was a damn good time

I'd love to see the timing pillar go away during split screen to make both of them larger or do a side by side with small border between and have a running order across the top during them.

What's up with the leaders crossing the finish line with 3 seconds left and it goes to 2 laps?  And of course watching the winner celebrate and no other finishers shown other than on the ticker. And then there was Anstie running back in the pack for 5 laps while there was a race going on. 

I'm a moto fan and I'd rather watch formula 1. Our broadcasts are pretty bad. They just don't progress like other formats. I don't get it. 

Virtual Grandstand was the coolest thing ever at a time when ESPN2's broadcast was a week later.

Ever try to watch a SX race on an iPad ? Don’t .

This sport is like one click above the chain sawing lumberjack championship. I don't run into anybody during my day that evens knows what it is. The way it's been for the 50 yrs I've been in it,it ain't gonna change it just not.

So,to be able to watch qualifying and the race live I appreciate.  I turn down sound on RDL and yeah they miss hotlaps but if I was sitting there I probably wouldn't see one either.

I wish they just stream it on YouTube, have a couple channels, or views,one the show as is and one just a overhead fixed view of the track and track sound. Everybody has YouTube

If you're wondering why the screen real estate isn't better utilized, it's because they are broadcasting two different feeds (picture-in-picture), both of which are at the same aspect ratio of 16:9 (aka widescreen). This means more pixels are utilized for the width than the height. They are also giving visual priority to one of the feeds, making it larger, which means there will be wasted space elsewhere when trying to overlay another 16:9 feed in the same window (which has to be smaller, otherwise they would have two really small feeds side-by-side). The giant ass leader board in the left column doesn't help matters either.

You're doing picture-in-picture-in-picture-in-picture which is basically one step away from reversing the rotation of the Earth and entering into an unescapable black hole.

We can always go back to 1 900 Pro Race, or watch the live text feed from cycle news. Yes, Peacock can improve, but its not bad.

A couple things I think need the most work.

1. Live timing. For the love of god......

2. When showing replays, put the replay in the small box and leave the live race in the main (larger) box

3. Quit showing interviews (of any sort) during a race. Leave that shit for between races

4. When the play by play guy asks someone like Brayton "Hey, what is Cooper's mechanic adjusting on the bike right now?" and then right when Brayton starts to answer you interrupt what he is saying with some other BS.
