I think you have to call and ask for them. I doubt they sell them online, as you need your shock modified.
Anyone here have an ECU? Think I'm going to be keeping this bike for awhile and looking into a ecu and exhaust. thinking to go xpr but wondering if anyone has any experience.
I run a XPR mapped vortex ecu. Only mods are full Ti Yosh, power flow air filter kit and I run T4 fuel. But it’s been great, really enjoy it! It’s amazing how it just keeps pulling, and you don’t shift nearly as much.
I have a Vortex ECU with XPR Pro 6 mapping. My CRF barks!
Engine Mods:
- XPR Piston
- XPR CAM
- XPR Porting
- XPR Springs
- Yosh Exhaust
- Twin Air filter system

Yes!!! It helps... all the Honda teams are doing it.
Getting mine back this week from a motor build and electric water pump install. You can take so much stuff out of the motor getting rid of the water pump. It’s going to really turn on quick and hit hard. I can’t wait to throw a leg over it!
Where did you get the electric water pump?
I love this bike! I think you love it more with the mods.
Selling my seat, still in great shape: https://www.vitalmx.com/forums/salebazaar/honda-crf-seat
I ordered a new one, as I got the throttle jockey cover, and wanted to put it on a new seat. The foams actually feel the same, though, my stupidity is your gain.
I bought it off Amazon. I got the Bosch unit that Hrc is running. $45 for that and a lh radiator hose from a 2010 crf250r. Bwr engines pulled apart the motor to remove the guts, and machined the plugs to seal off the coolant passages.
Curious for the Vet guys, how much their willing to invest in a 250F? If on the high end of 15-20K , isn't a 350 a considered option or is it just brand loyalty?
I am about 10k all in, it’s all stock except suspension, twin air powerflow, and graphics. It’s so easy to ride, plenty of power, and less $ than an Austrian 350 for sure.
Ditto
I invest what I pay for the bike and maybe a revalve.
From my experience, the 2022 shock needs it for heavier or more aggressive riders. But the forks are great out of the box with a few click softer on the compression.
If you don't think that's enough for 99% of riders, let a pro ride your bike for a moto or two and pull out the stopwatch.
Getting close to having this thing ready for this year. Added the KYB kit shock, fresh graphics, gold rims, seat cover, titanium gold colored bolts all over the front end, power flow air filter kit on top of the annual maintenance. Just waiting on new frame grip tape. Then grab some pics and ride it!
How much time do you have on it? I'm able to pick a new one up fairly cheap and I'm pretty curious on how it compares to the yosh/fmf ect.
Some more titanium bolts arrived. Here are the brake caliper ones. Feel like the caliper needs coated now in some way lol.
Can you link the pump from amazon?

Can you check sag with a sag tool in the axle? Or do you have to only measure from the little spot made on swingarm?
Your set up is bitchen!! I love the KYB A-Kit, but I cannot justify the $7k+. I love your bike though!
Has someone tried the new Twin Air power tune yet?
I would call factory connection, they have really specific instructions. It is basically at the rear edge of the seat, and you want it as vertical as possible. I use the MoTool. It's great. With the stock linkage, I was at 2mm fork height, 110 sag. I went one rate stiffer on the shock and fork springs.
You can always throw a hammer and punch driver on the side of the track and just go half turns in either direction, until you feel the balance is correct, and then take the measurement.
I rode my buddies 22 with a vortex and XPR map on Sunday. The mapping had similar soft roll-on power like a KTM. I figured I would hate it, but my god did it calm down the chassis. Makes the bike feel way less twitchy, esp coming out of corners.
was it all stock with just the vortex?
Yup, all stock. It was muddy out, so I really didn't get to ring the motor out, but my buddy says it pulls harder up top as well.
It was so drastic I'm thinking about getting a re-map before I do suspension.
I've been real tempted, I wanted to get an exhaust(dented the shit out my stock one) but i may just jump right into a ECU
How are my slow weekend warrior old guys digging this bike? I'm shopping and getting back into it, last bike was a 2017 CRF250R, even with the air forks, I still loved how that bike handled (even after having a few of the newer gen YZ250Fs prior). Watched countless shoot outs and seems like the new CRF250R just isnt the same easy to ride all around good bike for the average guy. Just looking for thoughts before I buy.
I really like the bike so far. I would put myself in a slower vet B category (36 years old).
The bike is super easy to ride, especially for a beginner. It's light and very easy to corner with. It has really good bottom end power compared to previous generations.
Only downside I find is you can't be lazy when you start trying to really push the bike. The chassis is super sensitive to form and body position.
Most of the issues you hear about in the shootouts can be solved by a basic suspension re valve.
Nice, thank you for the feedback, good to hear as a honda guy. Not trying to spend a fortune for putt-ing around the track on the weekends, do you think it still needs a revalve out the box?
