Anyway good race despite the lappers.

Lmfaoo hahahahahah so like how last night for heat 1 they had the wrong riders on the screen & showed half the field as 4 laps down…or the last I’d say 4 out of 5 weeks the timing just jumps people all around 😂😂😂 doesn’t even work.

Well I actually have purchased mxgp-tv package, just something went wrong before 2nd motos, it was just one of those situations.

He’s just way too wild. Unlike Sexton.

I’d say Renaux is much more like Sexton. Often the fastest, great riding style, but seems to always find a way to put it on the ground.

That was a wild opener!

I was open to the idea of handing out points in the qualifying race but now i'm against it, at least in this format. 10 is way too much for the winner. Imagine going 1-1, 2-1 or something similar on the sunday but you have a bad qualifying race and you actually end up scoring less than the guy you just beat in the motos.

Hmmm, to me it looked like a track where if you pushed you would get kicked. Almost all guys that tried to move forward agressively ended up on the deck. I didnt see that aggresiveness with Prado, Geerts or Herlings (apart from the first 2-3 laps or so in moto2) and that seemed to be a better approach for this track. Renaux did push (like Benistant & Seewer & De Wolf) and he paid the price.

I don't like it that the guy winning the GP can have less point then another rider. And i'm not sure that 10 points is the right number.

But i do think that it actually brings some racing in the qualifying races. It used to be a trainride withou much fighting except for the first couple of laps. Imo you either get rid of the qualifying races at all or have a system where it's actually worthwhile to race till the end of the qualifying race.

10 points is insane, it should be:

1st-3

2nd-2

3rd-1

I don’t see the problem. They have raced three races, and the one with most points after these three races will lead the CS. It’s simply three points-paying races.

You could argue though why the qualifier doesn’t count for the overall GP.

With neither of them 100% yet but still coming away with good results, seems like Geerts and Herlings won't have much competition this season, although you can't take too much away from this GP as it's only round one and is a very unique track unlike any other on the circuit

good ride by Horgmo ! That was decent. I had the idea that Haarup rode on a f&h engine that second moto btw

Haarup was on a Stock Bike. Even the rear shock was stock

Damn, thats impressive. I thought they helped him out as he is a Kawi rider as well.

What were the issues with the team? Dixon is not the most reliable bike, but it seems fast. He had a lot of issues last year though.. which is tough to see given his talent

What happened to Brent Van Donnick? Was he the one being attended by medics early in the second race? I get a bad feeling when there’s no info…

Haarup deserves a proper bike, don't remember the final points last year but he missed out on a bunch from all his mechanicals, could he have gotten 3rd without them? From memory I don't think so but I'm pretty sure he would've been 4th. He deserves the opportunity to have a bike to ride in all the races.

My point was that De Wolf is nothing like Sexton. And if there is a rider in the GPs that is like him, then someone like Renaux is the closest one I can think of.

He did, he’s rode for Rockstar Husqvarna & F&H Kawasaki in the past.

I know but he's at his best now and he's on a bike that doesn't make half the races

I’m not sure it was him. He did only do one lap but he was already 30 seconds behind the field by the time he got to the finish.

He actually got a pretty good start, that’s him circled below.

118F3852-24B2-418E-A6D5-9EEBD94487CD

It looked like he slowed in Turn 2 and couldn’t be seen in the Top 15-20 after that. He was already in last by the time they got to the first sector. So I’m guessing he had a bike issue and rode it back around to the pits

That is impressive... But why didnt he line-up in the 1st moto? Or did they get the stock bike only after moto1?

Great 2nd mxgp moto yesterday.

Awesome to see Rick Elzinga running up front in the 2nd moto also.

Dont know the issue but he didn’t not touch the track after the first practice to the second Moto.

Spoke to rick sunday night - he was loving the power from the Yamaha, and liked the track, but despite that he couldn't keep up with Geerts, that kid was on another level yesterday.

But overall a good first result, and hopefully he will do better in Sardinia, he spent a lot of weeks training on that island in the off season...

I feel like this year could actually be one of the best years ever for battles. There are so many fast riders in both classes for this season. This could be the closest both championships have been in a while. Super keen

Possibly, but I see the Bullet warming up quickly and then winning way more often than not.

The track looks fairly easy on tv, but the squire edges and bumps on this track are so sketchy! You loose traction sometimes and than these edges appear, it can surprise you hard. The track is very intensive and demanding for the body.

Brent had a bike malfunction in the 2nd turn.

No this was just one round as I was in argentina for a beach race anyway. Came in unprepared for Mx, the dealer I rode the beach race for asked if I wanted to do it, so if we went. Did zero Mx races since unadilla 😅
