Let's see if we can't be winners as fans and show the other countries the respect that is well deserved.

Our boys did a great job this year and they did it with out the usual superstar or two that we normally have the benefit of so we should all be very proud.
Take for example Belgium. We have only 10.000.000 citizens. So are the other European countries.
USA has 300.000.000 citizens to chose from. It makes a huge difference.

Exactly, the US is by far the largest country where mx is a fairly strong sport and it's amazing that smaller countries, like Belgium, France and Italy produce as many fast racers as they do.

Nice to see a threat without trashtalk.
Congrats to the US. I'm most of all impresed by Dungey he rode brilliant.
Paulin had the key for France to win. But lost it :-D.
I'm also very happy with our team their result. A bit sad Desalle had bad luck. But our guys did what they have to do.

I don't go on mxtrax.

It never is outright speed that wins the des nations...apart from budds creek in 2007 that is.

If you take away the crashes and the shitty luck of Italy, France, Belgium and Australia then i have a feeling you wouldn't of seen America on top of that podium.

BUT...America won and thats all that matters.

Actually, because there is a larger US population just means there is a greater number of moe's and slacker losers. Our strength is not in our numbers, the concentrated talent pool of the smaller populace countries just shows they really care alot more than the majority of Americans. We're not the fattest nation for no reason.

I'm not trash talking.

Do you think America would have won still if all these freak accidents hadn't occurred ?

I'm not trying to take anything away from your amazing victory and i would never trash talk about a team that has just won the des nations.

I dont think joe101 is trying to trash talk. He's stating what everyone else who watched the race probably feels; and ultimately saying again what everyone else feels: USA won and everything else is just part of racing.

Congrats to everyone that sent riders. Send your fastest riders here next season for MX. Just think what a great year of racing we would see.

No I don't think they would have won if not for the freak accidents but I don't want to get the vital mouthbreathers started.

We could have lost in 2007 if we had luck like AUS and Italia. It's just an unfortunate part of racing really. At the end of the day, the letters U-S-A are going to be engraved on the big Chamberlin Trophy for another year, and that's really the only thing that is going to stand the test of time.

Huge Congratulations to all of Team USA, and all the countries that sent riders, and competed. Regardless of what some people think, I still believe that this is the largest, most important single motocross race in the world. How many other races do you see that many wild screaming fans?

Yeah, this is the Olympics of Motocross IMO. We should cherish it, it's the only event that brings Motocross fans and riders from all over the world together in a proper manner.

there were five countries with the speed to win the mxdn this year . it was all going to come down to consistency and team usa was the team that got it done . end of story . it was a shame we didnt get to see cairoli and reed going at it again in the last moto but thats racing .

this is the best race in the world , and i cant wait for colorado .

i was impressed that some of the smaller countries put together a team at all, shows a lot of heart.

i had to run to church so i missed the 3rd moto, just as well, i couldnt get video, livewire or anything, you guys did me good on the first 2 heats.

hopefully, i can catch a replay somewhere.

when I think of the MXoN, i think of 1981, of course, and i think of that photo of rick johnson and company meeting President Reagan, gives me chills up my spine. do they still get a photo opp with the President?

congrats to all the teams, hopefully, no one was seriously injured

Replay should appear on freecaster in a day or 2.

Like RC always said, you make your own luck. We (USA) had a bit of bad luck also don't forget. BTW, Phillapaerts is a dirty rider. I'd say he made a bit of his own luck.

"If" is an imaginary world that doesn't mean a thing. The requirement of teams staying out of trouble for 5 of 6 moto finishes is one of the great features of the event. I'd bet DeCoster emphasizes that as much if not more than any other team manager.

This was the year for one of the other teams to step up and cover the event with consistency. No doubt the French, Italians and Aussies are regretting the lost opportunity. "If" doesn't get it done.

Great event with tremendous competitive heart shown across the board by top competitors from everywhere.

Did you see the Philipaerts/Hot Sauce incident then?

Im not too sure how AC could have avoided a rider sideswiping him on the start straight ,or if Guaneri could have looked backwards and politely asked Byrne if he could please try and avoid him... I think its more a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. But shit happens I guess.

The US always had a solid team on paper though, it was always going to take some excellant rides and a litle bit of 'luck' to beat them anyway. Shame about the luck part.

The 3rd moto looked like a gamble. Riders were crashing all over the place! Two favourites (France & Italy) had DNF's, for example.

I was extremely pleased to get the report that USA had won, it sounds like some great racing with some good drama.

I can't wait to see the replay.

Congratulations to everyone that went and competed.

A lot of freeaky shit went down for sure, I can't remember ever seeing 3 corners of chaos like that, but the fact remains that team yank put it together for the 5th time in a row. That's not luck, that's playing the event how it needs to be played.

How good would it have been to see Dungey, Reed, Cairoli, Philippaerts, Paulin, and Desalle battling for the win in the last moto..? Haven't seen the incident between Tedesco and Philippaerts in the 3rd, but Tedeso reckons he gave him a good 'ol shunt..

Rider of the day for me was Dungey, with Paulin coming a close second, that kid was mega quick considering he'd only had 2 weeks on a 450. I don't think we'll be seeing him riding MX2 next year some how.

As for team GB, we had some good individual rides but were let down by consistancy once again, 5th place ain't all that bad though..

Philippaerts is one of those racers who simply isn't racing to make friends. I didn't see him hit Tedesco and i didn't hear the announcer say that Tedesco was down. If your in Philippaerts' way at the des nations then you should expect a bit of fire from the guy. He's pushed coppins off his bike before using his head so the guy doesn't care who you are hahaha.

I can't wait for next year. Team USA vs Team France ???? hopefully the Pourcel brothers and Musquin will be the team against Villopoto, Alessi and Barcia maybe ?
