Pay attention. It's not a camera or spotter issue. Simply ask why they don't listen to the people they DO have during the show.

Whether it's Daniel Blair on RDL, or mother effing Ricky Carmichael and James Stewart on the live race broadcast, they don't listen.

Why hire guys like that and then refuse to take advantage of their experience and instincts during the show? It's a joke. 

You're already all over this thread defending the entire crew man, so forgive me for not thinking this coming interview or feature will be anything but the usual. 

Ive e seen Paul Malan basically tell the camera crew to switch in the middle of race and they seem to listen to him!! No excuses except they seem to show what most race fans want to watch and not what some producer likes or thinks we need to see each week!!

Second, I went back to the 3:45 mark and watched to see exactly what you are talking about. Coop had just almost crashed in the whoops and there was about a 6-8 bike gap to Sexton. Looked to be over. At 2:35 left they switch to JA and JCoop because they can’t ONLY show the leaders for four minutes. There is other racing and if they don’t show the other battles people will be pissed. “Why are you only showing the leader and not all the other racing? You guys suck!”. They stayed on that battle for about 30 secs until Sexton crashed. 
It’s literally impossible to make all “the fans” happy. Bondo and everyone I met in the trucks are legit fans of the sport. They are doing a job, just like you guys. Sometimes they miss the mark. I’m sure you have bad moments at your job. They have multiple cameras and spotters during a race. If they see a battle that looks interesting, like JA trying to pass JCoop they will switch for a moment. You didn’t miss anything. You’re entitled to your opinions, but maybe look at how good we have it compared to a few years ago

This right here is when dark side became part of the gold olé boy club….congrats Daaarrrrkkkk!

This same BS over and over just shows you how truly small this sport is. Just goes to show you in this sport its WHO you know not what you know. A few elites control this sport and until they die off and new blood comes in this shit will never change.

The timing and scoring has been worse than previous years, at multiple events this year. You used to be able to trust it and spot when someone fell or passed when the broadcast booth was on coffee break, now you are just listening to the crowd and background noise trying to figure it out.

I will ask these questions. I have notes on all your concerns. I don't always get to watch RDL if I am the race. I don't know how Daniel or Dan are saying someone is on a heater when they are watching the same thing you are. They don't "have" someone to pay attention to. But I will ask. There are a number of things I'd like to see better as well. I may be 'spotting' for RDL at the Arlington round. If so, maybe it will help. Maybe I'll suck at it. Who know. Just know I want to write an article on this from a neutral standpoint.

Because Daniel and Dan see what we are seeing and can recognize that someone is on a heater or about to start one, they start to comment on it and then camera switches to someone else just rolling around after just finishing a heater. They are left with mic’s in hand to pic up the pieces. It’s happened too many times. Ask them

That’s part of the problem , they have too many scripted moments that they have to try to shoehorn into the broadcast . Will’s weekly two lap ramble about what a mechanic said last week for example . Everybody has to do their little bit . This why they are slow to react to on track action inmo . As Ricky would say , you gotta let the race come to you .

I thought RD Live was better with them actually following hot laps pretty well. But they sure managed to jack up the 450 main.

Missed the 450 LCQ start. Showed all of Sexton’s crashes from this season during the main. Missed that Anderson crashed. Standard.

The production team sucks balls. Plain and simple. Sorry not sorry. Tv is the easiest way for us to get better sponsorship dollars etc etc. If I did a job for 15 years and had his results I would fire my own ass a long time ago. 

Too many bros in this sport instead of a proper solution. This is simple: is this a budgeting issue? If not, we have zero excuses. If it is a budget concern….they need to be more creative and find ways to make solid changes. This is and has been a joke for quite some time

Weak links on the TV program from outsiders viewpoint: Bondo can kick rocks and find a kids show to work on. He is already at that production level. Ricky, we tried and tried and you just aren’t it bud. You have all the credentials and knowledge in the world, but you choose to offer it in an awkward teenager voice changing experience with very little insight behind your statements. James is amazing, Weege amazing, Blair is amazing. So many tools to choose from. Yet wither Feld, Peacock etc someone is pulling the strings and it sucks balls as much as Kim kardashian in her 20’s

DB is the only reason I keep the volume on and miraculously he gets Ricky to do a half way decent job.  Seems like Oakland someone told DB stay in his play by play roll because he didn’t spoon feed Ricky like he usually does and if I had to guess Rickys ego doesn’t like blair taking his thunder away.  I’m starting to think Bondo and nbc actually think Ricky is good and they don’t realize how good DB really is.  Why do we have to hear Lee figgy or Todd 2/3 of the time when Daniel Blair hands down is better and forces Ricky to do a decent job.
