As much as everyone tries to make a big deal of Eli matching RCs 48 wins, I get the impression that Eli just seems focused on doing what he does best - winning.
I have a feeling he was content to take a 2 this weekend, but one Chase shit the bed he decided to wick it up a little bit to put some distance. That last lap probably rattled him a bit and just wanted to survive to the finish.

He is running the bfrc shock…which he has said is better. But others haven’t liked it. Just curious the bike tracks very good during the early laps…but you get deep in the race and the shock heats up and maybe dampening changes. Just a theory…
I don’t think going from a 12 second lead to a 3 second lead with a lap to go is managing the race. That’s bleeding time and his little mistake cost him 2.5 of those seconds

That was the best effort I've ever seen get back on the track quickly without cutting. Of course he gassed it, he wasn't trying to lose. At least he only missed like one jump, and he was in a small rythm.
