Mine went into the FI mode after accidentally hitting the run button while trying to kill it!

I noticed the same thing when I was pulling mine apart.  I was planning figuring out something as well as that seems like a bit of an oversight for sure.  Nice work!

Did an FTR hare scrambles yesterday. Bike worked pretty good for a total MX setup. While doing a deep clean on the bike, I noticed the fuel hose coming from the tank filter, under the seat is rubbing on a plastic bracket that holds a relay. The corner of the plastic brct is sharp and appears to be digging into the fuel hose. Just an FYI… I made a hose protector out of thicker rubber for now but when I remove the tank ai will try a more permanent fix. 02B2865A-9CEE-4165-AEB8-7A0ECE8CA626

How did you like the bike off-road? I broke mine in on some single track last weekend, put over 2hrs on it. I geared mine 14/51 and it was pretty good for tight single track, I have since changed to 50T rear for a HS coming up this weekend. Overall I like it, motor is by far the strongest stock 300 I've ever ridden. I ran the white map all day and tried the green for a few mins and it was way to much power for my ability.

Put a slit in a piece of thick fuel line, wrapped around fuel hose with electrical tape where it rubs on brct. 99164B4E-CF40-43C3-A127-C9120C50E716

I just backed out compression clickers on forks & shock, installed my bark busters. Biked worked very good. I like the aggressive map for the clean throttle response. Still had stock 49 on rear, definitely agree on 50 rear to make 3rd more usable. I also had stock MX tank, was able to get 2 laps in before fueling, would not have made 3 laps. I like faster hare scrambles/ GNCC type courses, don’t do much very tight single track. I will do the same with this bike that I did with my 2018 250SX. XC gas tank, Cycra bark busters, oring chain, rear sprocket at least a 50. Probably try an FmF Gnarly pipe for better low end. I always found it better to have the SX over the XC because I like to ride MX also, could not come to terms with XC gear ratios on MX track.

Deep freez in New England and just got done watching supercross. Still 8 weekends from the first ride on the 300. Let’s bump this thread and hear from the guys with hours on the 300 or 250

Have 8 hrs on the 23' 300SX.  Absolutely love it!  I have the 6500 kit on the front and have the suspension working really well at this point.   Going to put a 50 tooth on the back to bring 3rd down a little.   Need to install my anti gravity battery to make it start even faster (i.e. dead engine starts).  For context...I only race Harescrambles but practice almost exclusively moto.  Nice to have a bike that does both.  Rode a 23' 450 and the 23' 250 SX yesterday and really happy with my decision on the 300.  The other bikes are great but the 300 is what I was looking for.   Super happy.

So Ktm havn´t figured out the 125 bike. Problems with ecu as everyone writes about.
And they have make it perfect on the 300 !!
Everyone run oil1:50 ?

Do the bike runs rich enough to handle 1:32 (more oil less fuel)?  Or wait for GET ecu box

This one sounds like it runs just fine.

Looks good, I can’t wait till my seat comes in. I don’t dig the orange fish scale seat.

Finally got a race under my belt on my new 300sx, did the sumter national enduro on it. Bike ran flawlessly, only modifications I've done was change the plug out for a br7es, go up one tooth on the rear sprocket to a 50T and have the WP6500 spring conversions done on the forks. Running 93 pump non-ethanol mixed 60:1 with motul 710. My prev bike was a '23 250xc, I much prefer the 300 torque and the SX gearbox over the xc.

Did you revalve the shock? If not how did it do?

It has been revalved to more closely match an xc, it did ok with the sport settings in it but was kicking a little so I removed 1/2 turn of HS comp and never touched it again after test 1.

I raced my 23 250 XC last weekend at our local D36 event. It's bone stock with 10 hours on it now. Running like a champ at 60:1. Will start playing a bit more with the suspension now that it has a bit more time on it. 350 will be up for sale soon. Having too much fun with this thing.

do 22 ktm triple clamps fit the 23 models. I saw somewhere that they bolt right up but wanted to make sure first.

I found the 23 head seam is approx 5mm shorter in height... depending on which triple clamps you have depends on how far the bearings can seat down into the new head steam. I know the trig clamps won't go down far enough to put enough bearing pre load. Hope this helps

okay so best to get a 23+ triple clamp

good test… I knew I felt a push from center to exit! Agree on the 2nd to 3rd, will try a 50 rear. I thought I was a rear brake dragger! My pads last pretty long compared to Dirks….

The first two things I did to my 300sx was 50T rear and 7es plug. No complaints here, bike runs awesome.

What  kind of riding?  I”m a little hesitant to run a hotter plug in deep sand…

Off-road, enduro/HS. No deep sand for me, did sumter national enduro last weekend but that sand is mixed with black dirt its nothing like beach sand. Otherwise I race/ride on a clay base.

The Keefer test was at sandy tracks and at sea level.
