You are an idiot dude. Show me where I posted I wanted it unfair? I have stated over and over, A STOCK 250 2 stroke. Get it, Got it, GOOD> Ask ANYONE here that knows something about bikes, if that would be fair. A stock 250 2stroke and a modded 250f (equal hp). Bet they all say it is fair. Now answer the question that you never answered. You keep on talking about fair, and then never answer if it is fair that Kawi, Honda's etc spend around $100,000 on a race bike and compete against people like me who rode as a privateer...

MX7MX "Town Idiot" Listen you dumb azz. Read. You said you have 3 degrees, you azzwipe. Read. Same hp, same cc. You are clearly the dumbest mutha F on this planet. Seriously. Duh I have 3 degrees from my sista's traila. She's so smart. She teaches me in tha traila, we live together, we even have a baby togetha. My momma said it was ok, cuz we luv eachother. We have exactly the same ongoing debate with the two stroke enthusiasts in the UK, just swap AMA for FIM.
We call them the TWO STROKE TALIBAN, as given the chance they'd have us all riding '97 KX250's in a second. You have to admire their persistence for the cause, and willingness to believe every hyped up conspiracy going. (Usually all Honda's fault, even though the new 4 strokes were the work of Yamaha alone)
At the end of the day market forces have a big hand here. At the moment more people want to ride 4 strokes than 2 strokes, that's an undeniable fact. So the 2 stroke enthusiasts need to find a reason, thats when all the rules/classes/conspiracies come in to play.
I believe you should be free to buy and ride whatever you like. I've had 250f's since 01 and never had a major breakdown, and yet the Two Stroke Taliban will have you believing they break every other weekend at $2000 per go. They'll also tell you the noise issues, well yes they are loud, partly because the US has allowed their bikes to be louder than the rest of the world. BUT you try getting a pre90 2 stroke through a modern 96Db sound test that a 250f will pass, not a chance! Not only does nostalgia wear rose-tinted spectacles, she's also wearing big furry ear muffs.

As there's been plenty of mention of the 350F KTM, I thought I'd mention Cairoli. He's going to KTM next year and also rumoured to be riding the 350F. During the early summer this year he put on a few big charges where he'd get a poor start then fight through to the front in the last cpl of laps. That was rumoured to be because he was using a YZ400F, poor starts, but easier to ride towards the end of a long difficult moto for a small guy.
Dude, seriously get a clue. If you follow any of the threads here, it's current and former 250F and 450 owners describing in detail the problems they've had, not your mythical taliban.

Market forces have not had a real chance as they've been artificially skewed due to the displacement rule changes and the lack of updates to the two-strokes.

Pre '90 two-strokes? WTF does that have to do with anything? Nobody is pushing for that. The noise issue is for real and if you can't grasp that then you are part of the problem. Thumper Taliban?

Try a little less bullshite next time you post.

I think MX7MXMXX77MX is trying to ruin the credibility and get this thread shut down for stupidity on purpose. If everyone would just not read or respond to his posts, you will not fuel the fire then maybe he will go troll somewhere else. Being ignored would be devastating to this type of ego. It is hard not to take his wise cracks personal, but ignoring it completely is the only way. There is a lot of wasted space on this thread from quoting and replying to him. If I was DC, I would feel like I was wasting my time reading some of those replies. I will not acknowledge him again if everyone else will do the same.

We want to give good suggestions on how to make the classes fair or help the sport.

sometimes I think MX7MX is a BOT that has automated responses that Gibby has programmed in to vital to fight any 2 stroke comments. Thanks, I'll ignore them for now on.

I still believe he is actually just a little kid. Saying he has degrees etc. I mean, he has a 2002 yz250f. Tells me pretty much he is fighting a battle that he can't even support himself. He can say all he wants to about how he can afford it etc. But as you guys all know, making money doesn't mean having the ability to chock up $9G's on a new bike every year. And the fact that an 02 YZ250f is well outdated. He actually tried to deny having one, until I posted his quote. Just funny how these same people fight over and over about it, even though they aren't living what they preach. Most of the posts on the 4 strokes sides always include the 450f, even though we aren't even trying to make the 450 2 stroke fight. It's funny to watch, although, it obviously scares them, that the 2 stroke will be back to fight another day. Otherwise none of them would even post. I wish we had the ignore button on here. It was cool. you didn't even know they existed anymore :-)

First off, let me set you straight reject! I HADDDDDDDDDDDDDDD a yz250F, that was sold back in 05! Its a 450 dumbass! So again, when you get your information right, then open your mouth! Till then STFU! Let me repeat, Sold the 250F back in 05, YZ450F replaced it!

And besides, your not getting your way, so I'm gonna beat my chest proudly about it! 2 strokes are gone, dead, Am's don't care, only the very few nostalgic folks!

Ok, so you replaced it in 2005 with a 450F, that was more than likely not new, so you're still riding outdated equipment?

Good for you.

And you are very wrong about your last statement. But whatever.

I'm pretty sure I know this type. aged 16-20. Slightly retarded. Loves Monster drinks. Has a Fox helmet with an AXO jersey, Shift trail pants, and some sick boots from the funky future of 2001. Schooling all the 2-stroke dinosaurs on his tricked out 2005 YZ450F.

Love this guy JW381. Check this out. His arguments are about the 250f' Yet, now he says he sold his in 2005. Then he posts in July about how much he just saved on a rebuild. I mean it was current topic, not 4 year ago topic. Ha Ha. This guy is awesome. I love it. He is even a cheater, using a 262cc kit. But then cries and cries about racing fair and equal bikes. Got talked in to a crap rebuild job, using a steel cylinder sleeve. Keep on keepin on. He's a mixture of Joe Dirt and Bobby Booshe. Maybe throw in some Ricky Bobby to top it off. LOL

Ok, in that post that you copied (which if you went to that extent, you really have no life), where in that post, did it say that I still had it. That post was in reference to the cost of rebuild. No where in that post did it say that I currently owned it. You ASSUMED. So who's the dumbass???? Saved ed=past tense dumbass. You complain about me being stupid? Come on man, show me where in that post that it says I still had it then?

I think that's sorta what you did. We were all talking respectively about how we think the sport would benefit from having 2-strokes again, which it would, and you started with all the attacks and the exclamation points and the caps lock and all that nonsense.

You made your bed, now lay in it.

Back on topic, and off of this goon, I am noticing more 2-strokes at the track. 250's 125's alike. If the pro's don't wanna run em, fine. At least give them a fair option. But pro's make up a very very small percentage of people that race Motocross, or even ride dirtbikes for that matter.

I'm very comfortably laying in my bed. The 2 strokes arent coming back. Soon as you face that fact, the better of you will be. You actually think that the sport of motocross which is so very slim a market for the manufacturers, is actually going to produce a bike because the AMA makes rules?? Actually the sport follows the bikes, not vice versa! That's what you have to understand.

You talk about fair option, I still have yet to hear one of you explain how the 250T is fair racing against a 250F? Thats my problem with all of this to begin with. When it was all 250T's it was fair, now that its all 250F's its fair. It will never be fair even if the displacement is the same. The variables are different, therefore the outcome will be different and UNFAIR. But for you, you just assume because the displacement is the same, that it should in turn be the same. When its not. The way we have it NOW, is as fair as its ever going to get. When you mix the classes, thats when it becomes UNFAIR to both sides. Listen I owned 2 strokes, and maybe I'm the lone exception, though I've seen more posts than just mine on this subject.......but I spent more on my 2 strokes than I ever did my 4 strokes, you don't have to believe me, that's how it was. Others have had bad luck with them.

But this is what we have, everybody who gets on the track today in pro racing has the same advantage, they all ride the same bikes. The more all of you talk shit about the 4 storke and the advantage this and advantage that and unfair rules, James and RC took that rule change and showed them its not the bike, its the rider. Yes they are far and away above all of us. But James hung with RC when he was on a 450 on his KX250T. So is it his fault he's just that good, or does that mean everybody else sucks because they can't do it and need an advantage to win on one?

MX7MX and you still haven't explained how a privateer pro's 250f is fair compared to a factory $100,000 bike. I've explained multiple times that the stock 250 2 stroke is equal to a 250f that is factory modded. Many times. Now tell us how the factory 250f is equal to the privateer who is barely making it, 250f.

If someone can't afford to race, maybe they should put time, energy, and money into something else anyways! So how about this, in your view, we should reward the privateer who will probably never win ANYWAYS and since there not as fast as the factory guys would be on bikes regardless of factory or not. We should handicapp the factory guys and give the privateers more hp to even things out because their simply not as fast as the top guys!

See Bobby Booshe, there you go twisting things again. Exactly the same hp and same cc's. Exactly the same hp and same cc's. Exactly the same hp and same cc's. Exactly the same hp and same cc's. So what you are saying, is that the factory guy since he is faster, should get a bike with more hp like they do already? You do understand that the factory $100,000 bike puts out more hp than the privateers, right?????

So everyone out on the track should be a factory racer then or just quit? Ok, that fixes everyyyytthingg. Thanks

The 2010 450 design was probably started 5 years ago or so. They didn't dream this up after they signed bubba and sent it down the production line.
The concept of this bike was started almost three years ago, with much of the original concept coming from an internal (and often after-hours) group within Yamaha called the YZ Research Team that included members from both the U.S. and Japanese headquarters; and members of the product planning, testing, engineering, PR, and design teams.

Gee, come to think of it. I think the 350F was mentioned then. HMMMM.

So how about this, in your view, we should reward the privateer who will probably never win ANYWAYS and since there not as fast as the factory guys would be on bikes regardless of factory or not. We should handicapp the factory guys and give the privateers more hp to even things out because their simply not as fast as the top guys!

Wow. You actually left me speechless. And not in the good way. Like the way Megan Fox would leave you speechless.
Please tell me that just came out wrong.

I think it did pro med.

MX7MX7MMXX777....whoever you are, you mentioned that is someone can't afford to race then they should just hang it up? Well genius guess what happens when we get less racers there is less of an interest in the sport thus it will die. You don't want that do you? Also means 2 or 4 stroke if they aren't being raced and there is no industry around then we won't have bikes either.....you are diggin yourself a hole too deep to climb out of
