Never liked them. Still don't.
A two race format makes more sense for many reasons. But calling the races triple crowns is stupid. A Triple Crown is winning the three most prestigious events in a sport. It just sounds so stupid to it hear the term applied to three races that are no more valuable than the rest of the season.
How could you not after what we've had so far tonight? Two good races and 4 more to go. No heat races that don't count towards anything, it's a nice change up to the regular schedule and makes the series more exciting.
I was strongly against them when they came in and still think the traditional format is the way the majority of the year should be run.
I’ve since come around and the few Triple Crown rounds sprinkled through out the calendar are often the ones I most look forward to.
More gate drops and more racing laps for the very best in the world, what’s not to love?!

There is way too much down time with them, it’s painful
Heat races count towards your gate pick for the main event.
Heat races pay the same amount of points as the triple crown races. None.
They get scored and points are awarded at the end of the event. 26 points for the winner. Same amount of points as the traditional format.
One small mistake and they don't have time to make their way back to the front.
More risk of an injury or mechanical.
Most of the racers don't like them.
At least make one of them a East/West showdown if you really want to shake things up.
Host it at one of the Speedway rounds.
I like it but a couple of events per season is enough.
It’s anticlimactic. Only good part is we get LCQ’s on RDL.
I don't mind it but suits some riders better than others, KR for example
By far the best race of the year in both classes. It isn’t even close.
Ok, let’s see a show hands that fell asleep!
Yeah the gaps are brutal.. Maybe they could coincide with futures every time (If they don't already) and let them race 3 times as well
Disclaimer: I have zero thought into the logistics of this happening
I've been a fan of triple crown since the inception of it.
I just wish it was a bit more importance on the overall points.
Meaning, That you could walk away with 75pts on the night for winning all three.. Because then it would allow the race to really really matter.
It would also allow an injured rider to comeback and make up major points if say they got hurt at a early round etc.
To be fair, they aren't always like this. But I agree, this race was something else.
6 mains events is better than 2
Talk about how exciting it was watching Kitchen and Robertson protect 2nd and 3rd in 250 race 3.
This is retarded. If you'd prefer to watch races for gate pics that's your perogative but each of the triple crown races directly impact/determine championship pts. i.e. not even close to analogous
Pit Row
Shit was dope
The races were wild tonight but I do not have the mental capacity to track points over six races
Regular SX weekends aren’t always a barn burner either, though and we seem to like those just fine.
Where they should be?
I can tolerate them 3 times a year, but, meh. I prefer the intensity of a main event.
Great for us spectators not so great for some riders.
OMG. Watching Levi just cruise around behind Jett was SO Fing EXCITING!!!! Thank God second place was enough or he might have had to try to race him. And that would have sucked.
I hate them. This was the first ever remotely successful triple crown race in my opinion. Pretty much all the other previous ones have been snoozers with the first main being the most exciting and then the event gets gradually more boring through the night.
I also hate the way the format makes mistakes by the riders less significant. In a one long main every single lap counts the same, every single mistake costs you the same.
Lol, like he would’ve been able to pass him if “he was really trying”
And the more the announcer's try to shove them up our asses, the more I don't.
A few is fine but I had not idea on the downtime. I always watch on replay the following morning and thought the next race was immediate after the podium.
I go back and forth. I mean we were all excited that the final race last night was winner take all between 4 guys. But … That’s exactly what it is every night for a normal event. So idk lol.
