I had some plans sat night that won't get me home to view the race by 7:00.  When it's on one of my normal cable stations I just DVR.  With this week being on peacock, anyone know if you can start the broadcast from the beginning after it starts?  Or do you have to pick up live or wait until it's all over for the replay to be posted?

This is the first year I've had to watch it through peacock and last week was on USA network.  Any help appreciate.

You can scrub back to the beginning mid-broadcast, just close your eyes & mute your TV sound while you do so.

Are you sure you can still do this? I was thinking the other year you couldn’t, and had to wait for the replay to upload, but I may be wrong on that.

I used to turn it on about an hour after it started, start from the beginning, fast forward commercials, and watch the mains live. But I thought I remembered you couldn’t do that anymore?

Test it out on Race Day Live at 1:30.  Start it at 2pm and see if you can rewind to the beginning.

Where I’ve had issues before is if i don’t catch up before the broadcast ends, once they turned the live stream off couldn’t watch anymore until they posted the replay.

On the plus side peacock isn’t crazy slow on posting the replays, it’s usually like 1/2 hour.

Yessir. If memory serves correct, I was not able to rewind mid-broadcast on my phone - but on my Apple TV I never lost that feature. As Crash just said above, though, if the broadcast concludes you do have to wait until it’s uploaded for replay.

you can but if you start too late and the live stream ends you get cut off. My usual is to start watching about 1 hour after it starts. Usually I catch top by the 250 main and have to watch one commercial break.

She literally yells “it’s loading close your eyes and ears”

That's true, but there is a fair amount of dead time on the live production that you can forward through depending on how soon you get on to the live broadcast.

I see the overly sensitive Vital auto editing of bad words has struck again  Laughing

Thanks for the info guys.  I'll keep my plans and hope for the best in the rewind.  And yes peacock is a bad word I guess.  🤣

Just tried it on qualifying. You CAN rewind to the beginning. Like others said make sure you catch up to live  broadcast before it ends.

For me it won’t work if I’m casting from the app on my phone, it’ll only let me rewind if I’m on the Peacock App on my TV, just keep that in mind in case you’re casting off your phone and it’s giving you troubles.

I have Xfinity cable, went to the Peacock app and tried to record.  Would only let me record the replay on Monday or I’m missing something.  Pretty sure I’m not, haven’t got into the Delta 8 gummies yet!  I’ve recorded it before.  I need to look at it again.  Trying to watch NFL payoffs and SX at the same time, which is not a bad gig on a rainy Saturday in League City Texas!!

So at the red flag in the 250 heat race I exited the peacock app on my tv. I then open the app fresh on my tv. I was getting ready to watch the staggered start but I was also able to rewind it all the way to the beginning of the broadcast

My experience is tv apps really suck, especially if the TV is several years old. I've been casting from my phone for the last 5 years and don't even have my tv connected to the internet anymore.

I don’t think you can record on the $5 app but why would you want to?

Just watch the on demand replay an hour or so after the race is over.

We watched heats Saturday night then went to bed.  I started it from the beginning on SUnday morning and FFed to 1:06.  All good.  The wife said to watch 250 LCQ but wait for her for 450 LCQ, so I paused on 450 LCQ to wait for 30 minutes and Peacock totally wadded.  I had to re-start Amazon FireCube to get it to respond.  However, it let me re-start where I left off.

I paid the $99 (or whatever it was) and the replay had the commercials edited out!  On the live show we had "The Soothing Circles" during commercials but they played some commercials anyway.

100% joke that this is the only way to watch live.  No reason it isn’t on cable other than Feld & MX Sports trying to recoup the so called extra purse$ they need to offset the threat of WSX.  Going in reverse but promoters still rake it in
