What's your point, that other manufacturers other than HEP/Suzuki were offering him the same as Honda formerly paid him? My point was HEP/Suzuki was the only one that would pay him what he wanted. Near as I can tell no other team really wanted or could afford him.
Based on what? By ALL accounts, he was pretty much locked to do the firepower deal UNTIL he rode the suzuki. He loved the bike and made the decision based on that. Sure, he wasnt getting offers from the factory teams, but I believe that was because there were not open spots anywhere. Tell me a factory team that had an opening and I'll insert my foot into my mouth, ass, eyeball, wherever. He was limited as far as where he COULD go, and chose the team that best fit him. There's no evidence he was forced into the suzuki.
Not sloan bro lol.....simply relaying what Ken has done since 2020 and before as well. Amazing talent, but finds every reason other than the mirror when things don't go his way. I'll say it again and you can read it slow this time......I hope history does not repeat itself and he is at the front battling for the title and numerous wins. The sport is better with Roczen in it.
According to shit stick KTM did want him but then didn't want him after he refused to take a drug test that he passed

Hope you are happy with your transition but it doesn't have anything to do with Ken and his performance on the Suzuki.
Hormone ?
So they didn't want him, right? Who else did besides HEP? Firepower? Like I stated, nobody else wanted him, even Club MX. He had no where else to go. Even Savatgy chose to privateer a Kawasaki rather than take that ride.
You boys are having a hard time excepting that he likes the Suzuki. Suzuki spends no money and you all are mad, they go get a top rider and you all are mad. Joey didn’t like his ktm either, he likes his Kawi so he bought kawis.
Bottom line. You could take Tomac, give him a couple months of prep/practice on the Suzuki and he'd still go out and kill it. Nothing wrong with that Suzuki at the pro level when it's been properly finessed by the industry wizards.
...and nothing wrong with the bike at the mere mortal level of rider (the majority of people on Vital)
Self deluded "my bike is newer, therefore better than yours" is a great mindset.... makes marketing peoples job so much easier .
Except HEP, In 450 nobody ride Suzuki as a privater so bike as good ? Do you see a lot of Suzuki in MXGP ? You guys are talking like if a Williams F1 was the same than a Redbull. You are talking like everything was about the rider. Ask at Tomac how a good bike can change your life. You need to be brain dead to not see how average and small he looks on that thing. Roczen still always the wonder kid for many people but that time is over.
Hope he likes Suzuki, no other team wanted him. No doubt he won't be enjoying the Suzuki long, count on it.
They’re just building bikes and having Kenny out to ride because they don’t want him..got it
What is awesome about Roczen on Suzuki, is when he starts bad mouthing the bike, and he will, will all his fans of this union right now hate on either Roczen or the Suzuki at that time. Something to contemplate, can't wait.
You misunderstood me, I stated Suzuki did want him, hence the words "no other team". At no point did I refer to Suzuki not wanting Roczen, to the contrary, they are the only team that did. Firepower, perhaps?
I’ll challenge that when he wins, he will, will all the union of haters say it was all Kenny, all the bike or a little of both. also things to ponder. Yes, Roczen on the Zook is awesome! Look what that alone is doing to us/for us.
Can't we all agree typically he has always ended up bad mouthing his bike/team at some point where ever he rode? Sure a Suzuki is fine for any normal rider, but KR has always been fussy.
Tomac is better on the Yamaha because that team is making the changes he's asking for; IIRC that was explained in several interviews, Kawasaki was only willing to go so far. The Yamaha chassis may just suit Tomac's style a little better too?
Regarding Ken's bike, obviously a box stock Suzuki is at a disadvantage relative to most other brands (at least if it were to be raced in A/Pro class), but if the rider is comfortable on the platform, you have a team willing to make the financial investment, and doesn't lock riders in to certain parts/configs, I think it largely can competitive with most factory teams.
Aside from the frame and the engine cases, is there anything he can't change? If Jeff Bezos randomly decided to sponsor a Suzuki team, you don't think they'd be able build a competitive bike?
I'm not a KR fanboy by any means, but aside from the Star YZ250Fs, I'm not really aware of a bike in SX/MX that provides a significant advantage over another.
Pit Row
On one of Ryno’s interviews he mentioned how big of an advantage it is for Tomac that he trains at high altitude. His body is so used to running on low oxygen that when he gets down to normal elevations its almost like blood doping because his body has so much extra oxygen to work with. I really believe there id something to that especially late in the race where Tomac shines.
We all know Kenny starts fast but then starts to fade late in the race, since hes trying new things I wonder if he would be willing to try training at altitude. Florida is one of the flattest states in the country so its almost the reverse where everywhere these guys go theyre going to higher elevation. Something to think about.
I don't think the money of Bezos will make HEP better. Upgrade needs to coming from Suzuki Japan itself because this is the brand that make bikes better over years. Not Really pro circuit, Hinson or Renthal. I talk about geometry, frame, linkage ect. I agree about Tomac, he has a better window setup but he is also hyper happy about the new Yamaha and it shows. 5+ years of non upgrade at high level it shows as well whatever factory parts. Off course the main reason that Roczen ride HEP is because HEP was the last good money seat available. Sportingly firepower Honda was a better choice but he chose money. It shows how capable he feels of winning a title. In his place I would do the same, I would take as many dollars as I can before managers understand that I m not a title contender anymore. Just my opinion.
Lol ironically the Austrian brands are the most “high tech” or whatever yet the weekend warrior vital user still manages to go 12k OTD on another $2400 on suspension for it to me technologically on par with the RMZ, just 10 pounds lighter. Don’t forget the button!
He likely will win and probably soon if so.....and then a couple weeks later the bike will scare him or he wont be able to keep the pace.....at which point the excuses will come and they will be the bike, mysterious illness, or both.
My dad and I were saying the same exact thing
To be honest, KR94 inspired me to sell my Husky and buy an RMZ
Arh it makes sense that your a Subaru driver
Well, I’m feeling pretty solid in my observations and comments
It is proven that elevation training does help. But Cooper Webb mostly trains at lower elevations and in Florida and he does just fine at the end of races..
I have often wondered if training in Florida is an advantage (perhaps not over high altitude) because it's so hot and humid. Humidity is moisture content in the air so if the humidity is high you are breathing diluted oxygen.
This is from a COPD website:
"Does high humidity affect oxygen saturation? The amount of water content in the air has an incredible impact on the concentration of oxygen. As water content increases, it reduces the partial pressure in the air and, thus, our lungs are scrambling to find that oxygen"
Say what you want about the frame, engine, electric start… but as far as looks go those suzukis are drop dead sexy
my thoughts on Kenny on the RMZ : he s done great, had a good fight for a couple of laps with tomac, didnt make any major mistakes and got a solid 5th. 6th and up were way behind- why did nobody aks whats about the factory KTM,Kawasaki,Husqvarna riders?
as mentioned before- he did not had that much time to get the bike set up
The bike in stock trim is a bit outdated
there is only limitied support from suzuki
I ll also think he will find excuses if something doesnt go as he likes it- hes been like that for years now- its a shame as it seems he cant reflect himself very well- but the A1 Result is like a WIN- he s proven that bike is in the ballpark and not holding him back (if Webb wouldnt have charged through the field to a 2 place i would still call the Austrian Husabergs "the boat anchors")
