It's possible and has been done several times standing or sitting. Torlief Hansen was 1 that did it standing up and Roger D used to have a T-Shirt and picture of him sitting down with his leg against the handlebar.

It was at MXDN in Manjimup, Western Australia in 1992 on a YZ125.
He was hauling that day and beating most of the worlds best 500cc riders on a "horsepower" track.

It looks to me like his lower torso is twisted a little like his left foot is behind/off of the peg. Awesome picture regardless.

That was my feeling when I heard Byrner say it on the Podcast. I had thought about that photo many times over the years and to have Byrne shatter my excquisite memory of it was enough for me to wish him banished back to Aus forever. Just kidding.
