Stick em necks out boys...

I'll stick my skinny assed neck out and say Dylan Ferrandis will be the 23 SX Champion.

Who you guys got?

Eli. Not sticking my neck out much but he has found the formula to winning, can't see anyone taking the title from him. Chase and Anderson might steal a few victories, but if I'm a betting man I gotta go with Eli.

Oh I remember this one from 12 months ago.. DF wins outdoors and now he has to be the favourite indoors too.. Dry

Not a chance DF wins the title. Eli’s title to lose to Sexton.

I am actually rooting for Dylan but until he can grab some starts I cant stick my neck out for him.

I will stick my neck out for Sexton winning 8 races, but getting hurt/ having a DNF or 2 and Anderson winning the title. Also, a crazy take but I'm going with it,

Dylan will be 5th or 6th in points is my guess. Like someone else said it's Eli's title to lose to either Seston (or Jason).

Sexton is the guy this year. Nobody else has the combination of bike, attitude, youth and speed. As long as he can close out his phase of taking himself out of the race with bizarre crashes (a phase that a lot of champs go through..) it’s his season to lose.

Eli is on a new bike, that usually takes a half season or more to get dialed in. Anderson seems to find an enemy or two most seasons that slow him a little instead of just racing forward. If the KTM is better, that might bring Cooper and Marvin into the mix, but that’s still unknown. Ferrandis doesn’t have the history of winning, and the new bike factor. Roczen has way too many unknowns.

I’d really like to see Anderson bag the SX championship.

however, I simply cannot disagree with anything you said here.

I’m thinking either Anderson or Tomac, and if I had to bet, I’d give Tomac the edge.  Sexton should be the one to get it done, but the Carmichael curse is coming up on a 20 year milestone this year, so…

I like your optimism. A few years ago when he was winning the 250s his desire to win was on par with JS, RC and RV. But he hasn't shown that much on the 450s. I hope he does show it this year. I don't think Sexton will keep it on two wheels the whole season to compete for the title.

If I were sticking my neck out, I'd go with DF or Webb finding his mojo again.

I think he definitely improves this year due to his comfort on the 23 Yamaha. I even think it’s likely he wins a race this year, but the title is going to be super tough with Eli, Chase, and El Hombre out there. I definitely like Dylan though and want to see him succeed.

Both Eli and Dylan are happier on their 23 bikes. Dylan is alsovery happy as the problems he had with the 22 are fixed with the 23 bike.

I hope AC is also in the mix.

It's going to be a great sesson.

Tomac for the title but I think Anderson is going to give him a run for his money .

I gotta take Sexton this year, I think (maybe hope) he keeps it on two wheels and pulls it together. I'm basing this on what he learned all summer battling for the championship. We'll see, but looking forward to a great series!

Tomac, Sexton, Dylan, Anderson and let not rule out KickstartKen.

Anyone gotta a update on AC? Is he strong again?

Sexton takes it. Kid figured it out this summer and he knows it. Tomac is a beast at MX, but is one click less fast in SX and Sexton has him covered. As long as he can keep it upright of course.

I would have picked Dylan, but I also thought he was going to take the MX title but he struggled. He's "off" right now.

Stamp it.

Would love to see Tomac repeat, but gun to my head, Sexton. It will come down to one or two big errors (not necessarily their own) that will make the difference for either one. SX is so much more unpredictable.

Who said he was the favorite? Boomslang picked him as his pick for the title. That doesn't mean he's the favorite.

It's no secret that he struggled in Supercross with the old bike. The new bike has addressed some of the things he struggled with. Now whether or not that translates into better results and the championship, only time will tell.

IMO, if he's comfortable on the new bike, he'll be a contender for the championship.

He qualified at the top of the board multiple times on the old bike, so he clearly has the speed to run up-front. The problem was comfort and if that's been addressed then it changes things.

Now before you or anyone says Tomac didn't struggle with the bike and that he came from a different manufacturer, I'll just say that what works for one guy doesn't mean it works for another. Tomac and Ferrandis have different riding styles, and not to mention completely different builds. Also, supercross and outdoors are completely different, so saying that he was comfortable outdoors because he won the championship in his rookie season is irrelevant.

I don't know if he'll win the title, but I wouldn't be shocked if he did. Either way I'll be rooting for him to get it done.

I guess the guy who kicked everyone but Tomac and Anderson's ass in the final standings doesn't even get a mention in the first 20 or so posts.  It isn't sticking my neck out to say that if he improves on last year he will be sitting #1or #2.  A little tinkering to get the bike to go through the whoops at his capability might just be enough to make it happen.  Go Malcolm.

Roczen kickstarts his way to the title on a 400-year old yellow bike with gunpowder for fuel and stone wheels. Stamp it. Grinning

Yeah Chase will dominate and go on a win streak. Dylan ha if he rides a 250f he has a win steak but not as many as Forkner.

If this thread is about long shots, then I'll take Marvin or AC.

Musquin maybe...but AC is too long a shot. He won't get past the halfway mark of the season before he falls and breaks something. Marvin can do top-5 every day, and be on a box when he's fgeeling it.

It doesn't look like that's going to happen in 2023.
