No Mr Feld, we dont..... but thanks for asking!

But seriously... more racing is always a good thing... regardless of what feld, ama, mxsports/davey/racerx thinks....

Not sure we "need it" and it has been a sideshow at best so far.....but could be a great option for guys not doing outdoors and guys like Brayton later in their career.  Cool to have more racing, but factories aren't going there so will always be second fiddle.

I would like to see the 450 class here be a $3 million payoff with the 12 fastest guys so nobody's getting lapped on lap three and a 250 class for anybody that wants to ride it and that pays 1 million

Yup! All it meant, to me, was more options for the racers and the fans!

I watched the races and I enjoyed them.

The only down-side to me was Chad and JG getting hurt; and, ya know what...? That's jus' racing.

I'm hopeful that Adam and his merry band of Aussies will make WSX something we all enjoy and that it comes into it's own significance. I really, really, really think it needs to squeeze into an existence where it doesn't conflict with other significant race series'.

Like I said..."hopeful".

You’d think all members on this forum would be fans of the sport.
yet, every now and then someone pops up who wants fewer races.

weird.

and then other guys want older racers to retire.

even weirder.

The thread title should be "Do American fans need WSX?"

The answer to that is probably no. If you live in America it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to attend a supercross event. For those outside of the US it is a massive commitment to see a world class Supercross event. That is the whole idea of WSX, to take the best supercross event they can, globally. Sure, they may never get the top US riders at every round but the riders they do get will put on a great show and there will be great racing and the fans in the seats will love it.

On top of that, it gives guys the option to have a career like Brayton where he can extend his career and keep making money doing what he loves doing.

If you don't like it, don't watch it but there is no need to take it away from those who want it

I don’t understand what’s so bad about a few extra races to watch a year regardless of who’s there and where it’s at

Yes, because I got to see Tomac and Roczen ride a sx track in person.

Why shouldn't supercross be an international sport.

Only a spoiled American would create such a thread. Go back to watching Supermotocross…. Such a lame title they created, kinda makes the sport look stupid imo

Like everyone else said the more racing the better. I'd rather watch WSX than Arenacross, Endurocross, WORCS, etc.

Yes. Do we need all the conflict, bullshit and drama that has come with it? No.

That's not the point....and most people know that... Is there room for another series is the question...and the answer is maybe...WSX learned a very hard and tough lesson as they have become something they didn't plan on...they are not going to be the premier SX series...they are the alternative for those that can't get a full time ride in the US and for riders that are on the tail end of their careers it will also provide a vehicle for young and upcoming riders to prove themselves where otherwise they wouldn't get a chance, once they prove themselves they will take the opportunity to race in the US SX series....It's far from the claims they made about being the premier SX series in the world...I'm happy that it has give riders an opportunity/option to make money racing that they previously didn't have that opportunity to do so...The anti-US rhetoric is getting a little old...

Watched the first race.     Seemed pretty lame.    It's not for me.

I'd put it on the level of Arenacross....2nd rate at best.

How is that anti America?

Beating a dead horse here, but AMA motocross or supercross is often the best racing, American tracks are excellent, no other national series has such a huge international following or can be called (by many) the pinnacle of the sport like the racing in the US is, etc, America is awesome in this respect.

Being pro supercross elsewhere, and acknowledging international fans wanting live racing, is not anti American. Expecting to have a total monopoly and ownership of all things supercross is also pretty weak.

Do I need it probably not?

But I do enjoy a decent quality series with some one of the worlds best in my hometown where I can watch the race in person.

If it was my choice I wish AMA SX was international but it isn't so I'm going to attend a "2nd rate" event instead.

What makes the sport look stupid imo is that lame title FIM and SX Global created.

If you direct the Q to fans outside the US, then it's YES.

I got to watch it in person, which I'm glad I did

If the ans is a NO, then don't bother watching /following it,

it's good to have a choice

Agreed, too many races to choose from sounds like a good problem to have.

As long as it doesn't suck budget or riders away from outdoors it's good, otherwise hell no.

This is the goal of wSX....they want to undermine outdoors.

Not supporting that.

Sorry for you out of the US fans....but KMA if you ruin our outdoor series.

Riders were sitting out outdoors before WSX, think there is bigger issues there.

Sure WSX is not and never will be as big or as good as the AMA SX, but if the WSX is coming to my country I'm 100% going to be there, even if its just to watch Brayton, Anstie, Noren etc.

People go to watch golf and tennis stars that are only top 100, these guys aren't top 5 but they're still bad dudes.

On the flip side, WSX is the best thing to happen to the nationals in ages. More incentive to race them and more merch opportunities for privateers. Competition is a good thing, and with the factories backing the nationals, it's a very good thing.

If it motivated feld/mx sports to improve their respective (and combined) series…then yes we need it.

it took nothing away from sx or the nationals…and since when is more racing a bad thing?
