So you have no sound basis for disagreement, just a tempered and childish response . .
Weird looking fenders and a cassette gearbox

That's better for any direction the engine might be held but what benefit would it be for a bike that's always upright?
They already did https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norton_Classic
To be fair, in a market where bikes are so similar, there is no way in hell the manufacturers are not acquiring and studying each others bikes. I doubt they have literally reverse engineered them.
Remember when Toyota copied Ford's much-loved, historically-significant (for performance) BDA 16v? Toyota paid Yamaha to design a racey 16v 4 Cylinder, so Ford basically cloned the Ford 16v. I've worked with these engines somewhat and we own a couple of 86 Corollas with them fitted as standard, and owners reckon even things like gearbox bellhousings and bearings fit from one to the other. Few minor, unsuccessful law suits and a bit of whining, but it didn't change anything.
Built in phone charger.
Lighter weight.
In the car industry, certainly when i was involved, they simply swap cars with each other to avoid expenditure, when i was dealing with Peugeot stuff, they had BMW's ,Mercedes and all sorts of others on the plot , having swapped them for their own models.
If you were designing ANYTHING new and you didnt look at what was already out there, that would be plain dumb.
So they will have bought and stripped plenty of bikes.
If you think KTM doesnt do the same even if its through a third party, then you dont get how the world works.
I would like to see more carbon fiber/composite used. The reality is motos have not really evolved for a long time when it comes to chassis geometry and materials. If you look at MTB development, it continues to move forward whereas moto just moves this around and changes flex characteristics etc. Motor technology has definitely grown, but it would be awesome for more exotic materials to show up.
Its expensive and impractical for MX, the KTM/Husky subframe is as far as you would want to go, CF bodywork is banned(mudguards and rad scoops and side panels) and tanks are a factory item that production bikes dont need .
Carbon as a chassis material is just not going to happen in MX, it doesnt work. Save for solid stuff like motor mounts , its just wrong.
It’s got 3 times the umph!

Somebody on Vital has seen the triumph in person. Come on, fess up.
Look, none of us knows what it looks like or what’s unique about it.
AM/FM radio with auto-reverse cassette deck.
Sorry, Phil I forgot you were across the pond😉
I’m sure you are have a complete set of working chompers. You and I are both exceptions. 😂
I highly suspect his posts won't age well.
MTB isn’t moving forward as fast as they’d like you to believe. More like it’s being driven in circles by marketing departments.
Lol, the “cassette” type gearbox was Cannondale’s big innovation.
Haha....."they". I am very familiar.
I agree mate, wasn't trying to say otherwise was just telling that mopey bloke that's it's standard procedure and not grounds to slag off Triumph 👍
Yes I agree wholeheartedly that this is standard practice among automotive manufacturers. Its obvious when you look at a Kawasaki that some of the features are similar to Honda and so on. Its even more obvious when you look at Sherco and Beta and see almost identical bodywork and general design as a KTM.
But my point was, in some of these interviews that are coming out, the "business partners" are literally saying verbatim, "Triumph started with a KTM frame and a KTM engine. Triumph made developments based on the KTM frame." So my gripe is not so much with Triumph for trying to build something off the best bike possible, but rather these guys who were hired to do development work basically throwing their employer under the bus.
interesting that everyone is up and arms and disgusted when a chinese manufacturer copies KTM bike designs, but when a ritzy british manufacturer with a cool logo does it, all is fine and good in the world.
1) automatic clutch
2) push button shift, no clutch lever
3) thumb throttle, no twist throttle?
