So Keefe has caught some heat on here over the years, do we think the personnel changes equals results changes?

Whole lot of nepotism going on there….
No way that kid has the experience to be a team mgr, but that's what always happens when your daddy is the boss.
I have to imagine that DeCoster had to OK this.
Maybe give the kid a chance before criticizing the decision?

Well I hope he gets along with Justin and Mike...
I'm sure if he has any questions he can ask his boss, Tyler Keefe.
LOL!
Why would all these experts do that?
Is Will Hahn still part of the team?
Exactly. He'll have an experienced team to help him figure out the ropes. If he doesn't succeed, at least he tried, if he is successful, that's just great. Who wouldn't want family to help carry on the business?
Probably has to do with the fact that he would never have this job if his dad didn’t own the team.
Good for the young man , hope he does well. Maybe he has been around and knows exactly what he should be doing.
How do you know that? Do you know the guy and know his experience? Or are you making an assumption?
Imagine helping your child get into an industry you’ve been apart of for most of your life rather than kicking them to the curb and not taking advantage out of all the work you’ve done up to this point. Crazy talk!
I sold a bike to Max awhile back- about the most humble and level headed dude you'd want to deal with. I almost had to pry it out of him that he was Troy Lee's son. Quite refreshing actually. He even knew quite a bit about YZ250s. I say give the guy a shot- maybe he'll kill it.
I was born into the wrong family, but good for them. I would have loved for my family to have a business I could have gone into.
His experience as a team manager for a professional motocross team? Pretty sure he hasn’t managed one before.
How many professional motocross teams had Ping managed when Troy put him in charge? Same with Keefe. It's not a rule you have to hire a industry re-tread to run your team.
How many championships does that team have? Yeahhh..
Pit Row
My Dad made me pick up trash on his construction job for 10 bucks a day when I was in kindergarten, he didn't want his son to be a pussy.
Thanks Dad.
Good man, kids of my buddy in the workshop next door have been down there most every Saturday tidying up or working with cars since they were 9 or 10. Respect them all big time. Now they're like 12 and 14 or there abouts and both totally capable of a normal service on a car and changing basic bits and pieces and prettying cars up to sell, and they're good kids racing dirt track on Sundays.
If this Keefe kid's been around racing his whole life and it's what his dad's always done, I won't be surprised if he's at a perfectly good starting point, yeah he'll have more to learn, but we all do.
Keefe is now director of Motorsport, they are bagging on Max Lee, Bruce’s son.
He will do fine, sounds like they have a good support system to bring him up. Cmon man.. who would not want to work along side with their kid…Think I remember hearing he raced & rides… I”m sure he is totally into Moto….First thing I do is sit Bam Bam down & explain to him a 4th or 5th is better than a Disqualification 👍
You mean his cousin?....Pretty sure Max grew up with the team and probably knows the ins and outs as good as anybody...he'll be fine as he is surrounded by great people.
All of this negativity about someone you don't even know and assuming he doesn't know what he is doing because he is Troy's son......jealousy is what that is. It's Dad's money and name, so if the son can be a part of that, why wouldn't he and I am sure Troy loves it too? If it was your son and you owned a business, wouldn't he be first in line IF he had the capability?
Everybody had a first time.
Good for Troy to bring Max into the family business.
All this hate and negativity is BS. Jealousy sucks.
Yep, and if they met Max in person they would be gargling him to say how much they love the team etc.
well people forget or do not know - Tyler Keefe dad, Bill Keefe is the GM of TLD. Bill also worked at DG and Pro Circuit before TLD. He was also a MXA test rider. Bill married Troy's sister back in the 80's also. Tyler also had the encouragement of Mitch Payton to move into the team manager role when that job became available when Tyler decided to stop racing professionally.
Max also dipped his toe into professional racing a bit locally in So Cal and a bit in Canada. Long story short - he will be fine. Max has been involved with TLD and TLD Racing behind the scenes for a few years. With Tyler moving up in responsibility, Max taking his spot will be a good thing. He's motivated, understands what needs to be done and has the support of TLD and Gas Gas.
Good luck to TLD and a successful 2023 season.
But you were born in the USA (a first world country) which puts you ahead of 90% of the world's population.
Wow, lot of jealousy in this thread considering its a buncha grown ass adults. Stoked for the kid! Not his fault he was born into that family..take the opportunity and run with it. At the end of the day he can only do so much. The riders have to perform
