Remember those weird boots he randomly started wearing that year?

Beriks, started with them in 05. Think they were made of Kangaroo leather

So statistically Roczen has a better chance of a championship on the Suzuki then Honda

Honda haven't won a big bike championship since 2004 or so and Suzuki's last championship was 2016 and they have had a few between 2016 and 2004.

Dungey 2010 and Reed was it 2009 or 2010 or something?

Roczen is in a way better position now.

Edit: Forgot Ken’s outdoor in 14. Suzuki is third.

God, it looks really bad when you put it on paper like that. So, not that I'd expect you to have the knowledge at your fingertips, but what's the story there? Does Honda just have more second place finishes than anyone?

Tied for second and they haven’t had a title contender riding one for the past 6 years.

With Kenny being quite an emotional / heart kinda guy, I hope seeing the yellow fender all the time he's riding lights the fire and gets him back into his happy place and hauling ass.

With riders at his level always looking for the slightest advantage, (even a titanium washer) I don’t think this move makes sense. Just my opinion. Wish him the best though. Always a KR fan

They aren’t though. Youve got the wrong sport. In F1, or Moto GP it is more of a factor, but in MX, not so much.

in MX, the rider is able to ride around so much more than say F1.
There are many many variables- physically for the rider, his comfort, his health, his frame of mind, his fatigue. All these things will have a far greater effect than a titanium washer or even a factory motor.

in ‘16, Kenny swapped out his factory clamps, which were no doubt lighter & stiffer in favour of using the stock RMZ clamps. Why? Because of comfort and ‘feel’.
comfort and feel is EVERYTHING in Moto. Not the fastest motor or lightest bike.

how many years did Cairoli win the MXGP championship on a 350cc when he could’ve ridden a 450?

if Ken is getting that ‘feel’ from the zook that he didn’t get from the Honda, there could be trouble ahead.
The Team will make it LIGHT enough.
The engine builders will make it FAST enough.

it’s down to Ken and his mechanic to work on finding that ‘feel’ he needs.

The yellow bikes are already so good looking but the redbull colors and progressive scheme is going to be such a good look!

Yes, yes they do.

All the talk is about the bike being good enough. I personally think the team itself would be the weak point. It's a big ask to go from a team that has 10-15th riders to one that intends to be in the championship hunt. They obviously have the money to pay Roczen but will there be enough resources to really run a top level team?

Look no further than last year and Kenny’s confidence in the bike. Factory Honda does not skimp

Congrats to Kenny and H.E.P. (with their NorCal roots).

My RM-Z450, she just chimed in....

"get ready for even more questions at the track..." (usually KTM and/or former 'Zook owners)

"....and YES I prefer the yellow jewelry(wheels) too!!" Cool
