My next door neighbor Chris bought a Sprinter last month, 83K for the crew version with the two windows in front.

He told me he had to order it - and when the vehicle came in, the Mercedes’ dealer tried to raise the quoted price by 19k for Additional Dealer mark up.

He threatened to sue them for breach of contract and I guess the dealer relented and sold it to him for the original price quote.

This type of ass rape from Mercedes is why I bought a high roof ford transit- I could almost buy two fords for the cost of one sprinter…

Pretty crazy that pandemic empty car lots are chock full of inventory, Mercedes dealer had so many cars for sale they are running out of space. More than 15 sales people at 4m30pm, and not one customer.
Look at the Santa Rosa dealership, that's where I got mine and they were extremely easy to deal with. I had the price negotiated over the phone, and when I went to pick it up I was in and out of the dealership in less than an hour, no hassles and no BS just a simple transaction.

Dealership in San Luis Obispo has a bunch of sprinters that just came in. Lots of 4 wheel drives. They do have the dealer mark up, but call Johathan and till him that Frank said to fuck your mark up. Johathan is a good guy, should make it right.

Bought my extra-long and tall V6 from this dealership for a few $k below sticker in late 2020 and can attest to a very easy transaction and willingness to deal over the phone.

This is insane, here a vehicle is MRRP + dealer delivery which is £800 ish + tax.

Anything over that is illegal.

Just wait, if you do a dealer search of inventory there is a lot on their car lots. They will want to move their 22 models by the end of the year. The places asking over MSRP are getting hungry and watching paychecks head towards zero.

I got a 22 170” 2WD in February after ordering in October. Not actually the one I ordered but I was told so many people give up waiting and lose the deposit, so my van is actually a van that was ordered 4 months before mine with only one different option so I took it. They took away the markup for my waiting, I had them put in a side window and the lot kid put two dents in the back door before I came to pick it up. I noticed when I got home and when they took it back they used Bondo and then two weeks later all the back door badges fell off. Now at 6,000 miles I have codes regularly for glow plugs but the plugs are fine and it drives normal. Mercedes experience at its finest, the only thing that keeps me sane is knowing I can profit 5-10K if I ever want to bail on it. 2019’s with 50K miles in my area are selling for $60,000.

Thanks, I have been calling a bunch of dealers and many of them are still pushing the mark ups, or don't have the right model.

I am feeling pretty unmotivated to keep dealing with these dealers. It's exhausting being lied too as well.

I would disagree with this. I thought this same thing when I just bought my limited 22 megacab RAM. The website showed all sorts of them at so many dealers. But once you called they either didn’t have them anymore, or they were already claimed, the sites don’t stay up to date.

Good luck on your purchase. Supply chain still isnt caught up as much as people are trying to say it has.
