“In comments posted by the press service of his Concord catering firm on Russia's Facebook equivalent VKontakte, Prigozhin said: "We have interfered (in U.S. elections), we are interfering and we will continue to interfere. Carefully, accurately, surgically and in our own way, as we know how to do."

In September, he admitted to founding the Kremlin-aligned Wagner Group mercenary organization, which is active in Syria, Africa and Ukraine. Last Friday, it opened a defence technology centre in St. Petersburg, a further step by Prigozhin to highlight his military credentials.“

Nothing new. People have been interfering with elections since the invention of democracy. It’s just reached new levels now.

There's not a single country that hasn't "interfered" with another country to advance their own agenda.
Hell, if you donated $10 to a candidate you interfered in the election. So really, was it meaningful?

He wouldn’t even be saying it if that information wasn’t just meant for further manipulation, whether it’s true or not. They’re playing chess.

Was he responsible for the recent elections in Brazil or was it the same people who blew up the pipeline responsible for the brazil elections?

Or the US intelligence community which has publicly said it happened?

I think there is little doubt at this point.

It doesn’t mean that they had a huge impact, and I don’t think anyone really thinks they effected the outcome.

But I think we all should agree, that in the future, all western democracies need to minimize foreign interference in elections.

It happens, we should learn from it, and make sure it doesn’t have a meaningful impact in the future.
Surely that is not a partisan statement.

Yeah, a citizen of a country legally donating to a candidate in their own country is exactly like what Russia is commonly known to do 😂

You think we didn't have skin in the game in Brazil?
What about Obama spending all that money in Isreal to get Bibi out? But whoa, someone says they influenced an election here, stop the press, rewrite the headline!
Pretty naive to think it doesn't happen.
It's not that I like it, I don't even like money from people in other states moving around to influence state elections
( think George Soros) but to feign reaction about it? C'mon man.

“Pretty naive to think it doesn’t happen”

So I say it happens, but you say I am naive to think it doesn’t happen.
Ok, 😂

We are making the same point, yes it does happen, so let’s try to make sure our elections are carried out with the most integrity possible.

Or are you saying, it happens, so fuck it, just let them do what they want?

And I am also not naive to think we in the west do not influence others, I would say it has been a cornerstone of the west’s foreign policy.

No, I think in this context it's a non-issue as there is no way to determine if their efforts had any effect. Now if you said they altered (not changed) by a measurable amount, then there's a conversation to be had. Right now it's just gaslighting. However you have the likes of Google, Fakebook, Twitter that not only altered but changed the outcome. Or our government interfering by suppressing anything negative about the Bidens. More concerned about our own government tipping the scales. Talk about unlimited resources.

Ok, so Russia interference was no big deal because it is not possible to determine what level of impact they had, but Twitter, FB and google definitely changed the outcome of the election
Got it.

So far all the investigations have shown no significant effect from Russian interference. However, the percentage of Democrats who say they would have changed their vote had the laptop story not been suppressed (by our government and big tech) would have changed the outcome. Fact!

I am not “upset” by anything, it’s not that emotional.
And I don’t give a shit which way foreign states try to move the vote, either way is unacceptable.
Furthermore, in my opinion it’s not that they want to move it one way or the other, but they want to create division. Division weakens an adversary, weakens morale, economic conditions etc.

The simple fact is, some foreign officials have admitted they tried to interfere with the election, intelligence agencies have stated that it did happen.

I have also stated that I do not think they have changed the outcome of any western elections, but we should figure out how to minimize the impact now otherwise it may have a significant impact in the future.

Nothing controversial I wouldn’t have thought, but I get it, it’s vital.

So we have heard Russia, Russia, Russia for the last 6 years. And it turns out that the real architect was the Clinton campaign. We also know that the Russians don't care as much about who's in office as they do about creating chaos in our country. That's why you can't tell me what which way they tried to influence the election. The fact that he said it doesn't really make it true. Is it true? Probably, but we don't know for sure. What we do know is we are talking about minnows in a stream full of trophy trout.
The real problem is within our own borders. If we could fix that we're golden.

Pretty much exactly what I said is it not?

Breaking down what i have been saying to it’s simplest form.
Foreign powers have and will continue to make attempts to interfere with our elections.
We should ensure they are not effective.

By all means, If you disagree with that statement. Please tell me explicitly what part you disagree with.

I don’t have a particularly strong opinion, and truly just don’t know much about what happened.
but I don’t have an issue with western countries trying to influence other nations. As long as it is done for good reason. In the past that has sometimes been the case, and sometimes certainly not.

Like I said, this has been a cornerstone of the west’s foreign policy. What do you think “foreign aid” is?
And now China is using the same play book

I also don’t really blame other countries trying to do the same to us really, what’s good for the goose….
If I was them I would also try to shape the world in a way that suits me.
It’s naive to think they will not try until the end of time.
So we need to be able to ensure their attempts are not successful.

In a nutshell. I don't like China manipulating our elections.
I don't like Russia manipulating our elections.
But the reality is, you have finite resources and you need to dedicate the most resources to the most egregious offenders. From all the reports, whatever Russia did was statistically insignificant. Kind of like this thread. Don't you find it odd that here it is now, right before an election and all it does is create a squabble? And yet there's no proof of
anyone changing their votes. You should care more about a compromised Pres.

Let's be honest , if it looks like it has hurt your "team" there is an uproar . If it's the other "team" you will look for ways to minimize it . This is not directed at anyone in particular it's just the way it is and it's sad .

You bring up the Biden laptop in multiple threads. Let's talk about it, one conservative to another. What is it about the laptop you think would bring down Biden? Are there any other items similarly that would upset you if it came from our own party? I don't really watch the news and I tend to get my information from both sides (and I'm extremely skeptical of both). So I would be interested to hear your side about it.

I respectfully disagree. The new part was that half of our political spectrum turned their back to it and denied it was happening…or even worse, some welcomed it and even encouraged the Russians to interfere.

I don't really watch the news and I tend to get my information from both sides (and I'm extremely skeptical of both). So I would be interested to hear your side about it.
Verification that Bobulinski was telling the truth. Verification that the Bidens are compromised.

If I believed that a republican president did those things, I'd want them out. If I thought GB took us into Iraq
for $$s I'd have spoken strongly against him also. What we learned (were taught) about Nixon, I thought he was bad, however things I'm recently finding out, I'm starting to believe that he was a pretty standup guy and it was about John Dean protecting himself creating a narrative that NIxon was the bad guy authorizing the whole mess. So, there is that.

Verification that the Bidens are compromised? Would you be willing to expand on that? Both his son and Hunter, and for the China dealings? This whole story seems odd and vague and I really want to find legit information on it. I get bits and pieces here and there but it doesn't seem like any article is very coehersive on it.

You don't think Bursima put a crack head named Hunter Biden on payroll without getting concessions from VP Joe?
Or maybe you do. Because companies hire crack addicts all the time. And then we have Joe bragging on camera
he used our taxpayer money to get the prosecutor investigating Bursima fired.
Or the deal with the energy company they were putting together. Hunter flying with Joe to China and just happen to get a boat load of money shortly after. So if Hunter were a legit business man and not a crack head, a person could argue that he's good at what he does but that pretty much goes out the window. I think in his own videos that were/are on the laptop, he claims his dad is compromised. And yet you have the alphabet groups suppressing everything.
And of course all the post intelligence folks parroting the same thing "Russian disinformation"
How is that helping the country?

Ignore the spelling, in a hurry.
Lastly, his son and hunter are one in the same.

As someone said earlier...I don't think the Russians are backing any particular party or person. Their aim is to create/spread suspicion of our electoral process. From reading these non-moto threads...it appears they have been very successful. It doesn't help that most of our elected official (past and present) are intellectually and/or morally deficient.

I know for a fact that MOST of the Vital crew is above average in intelligence. Some are downright brilliant. For the life of me, I can't fathom why anyone would take "sides" politically. Those folks don't give one fuck about you or the country. They identify the base and spout whatever that base WANTS to hear. If you happen to prosper while that person is in office...it's totally coincidental and certainly not a result of their effort to "help" you. Conversely, if you are hurting, it's not because they're out to get you. You/we are completely insignificant and beneath consideration.

This game is being played by the mega rich...we are not even players. Go fishing, hunting, camping...ride your bike. Enjoy your family. Peace y'all.
