First thing I did was remove front # plate & tidy up wiring & electrical tape up connectors…. My hose is not laying on the head, it may have been twisted during installation.. try loosening & spinning hose, it has an upward bend..

Here in Tennessee it's $8 a gallon right now.

You can run t4 in two strokes. It's unleaded VPR, T2 is premixed VPR.

My last carb'd two stroke LOVED T2 so I'd definitely like to try it in the TBI bikes. I've stuck with non ethanol pump gas in my TPI and it always runs great but theres something about the way they run on race fuel that can be very addictive.

Had anyone tried Sunoco Race Fuel Optima on two strokes 95 octane. More looking for a consistent fuel than our local pump gas.

Ive used Sunoco GT (100 Oct unleaded). I actually have 91 Eth free and Sunoco 100 mixed 50/50 in the bike right now, I put Sunoco GT in my drag truck when its parked over the winter as its very stable. ( Normally I run E85) so I normally have a few 5 gal cans of it around.

Picked up my 300SX in update SC on Monday but have only putted it around the yard so far.
There is a connector/dongle included with the bike that the manual calls a "wake-up connector". Reading the manual this sounds like it's for calibrating the electronic power valve maybe, or am I way off base?

Yeah I ran that muffler on my 20 and loved it but I ran the fatty to get more top end. I’d be interested to see how the gnarly performs but I doubt the bike needs more bottom haha. Plus I like the factory fatty because looking cool trumps all lol. Post up the muffler when you get it on!

Have any of you guys getting 300s had the tpi version before? How does the power compare? I rode one in the parking lot but that doesn’t really compare to riding one in the dirt. The bottom end paper felt smooth and tractable like the TPI but I wonder how they actually run from mid to full throttle.

Pretty sure that is a dealer setup item before delivery.

Not really. It could rest on the pipe and never would be an issue.

Coolant is flowing through it. Will not melt.

On the TPI with a thermostat it was a huge problem where the hose routing rubbed on a powervalve cover bolt and it pictured the hose when the radiator flexed. The new 2023 design routes it up and away from it being a problem. If its close back the hose 1/4 inch off the spigot fitting and it should get it away from everything.

Possibly, however the connector is in an unopened sealed bag so it doesn’t look like it’s been used.

I broke in my 23 Husky this past weekend coming off a TSP tuned 22 tpi version with high compression head. The stock 23 has a much broader feeling motor in stock form. . Very impressive.

Umm, not quite. 3hrs on the bike and the hose already had chaff marks, its not about the heat its about rubbing.

Congrats! Are you riding slow speed technical single track at all? Curious to your thoughts on the XC model for the slower stuff. I am considering the XC, but like tighter stuff too.

Broke my 250xc in yesterday, IDK how many new KTM's I've had since 2005 (first one) but I'm gonna guess in the upper teen's low 20's. This bike is by far the best stock suspension I've ever ridden. In single track the bike feels like a bicycle, feels very narrow and turns with ease. The motor is amazing, no bog, torquey, fan the clutch and its snaps to life. It's also very smooth if you leave the clutch alone and let the torque work. I'm not an mx guy anymore, but these TBi 2stk will be a game changer for enduro and HS guys.

Long time lurker and first-time poster. My boy and I are picking up a new 250sx and 300sx in a few weeks. This is a big move for us. First time KTM(moving from yamaha) and moving to the 2 strokes. These new 2 stroke just look soo good.
For us, he can race the 250sx in the 250class and won't have the expense of a built 250F race engine. Any way enough with the excitement. As noted, we have been 4t for years and always used Amsoil for all lubricants. What is everyone's suggestion 2t mix and pump gas for these new bikes?

Congrats Dude. I am still a 4 stroke guy, and like you converted from a different brand. I picked up a 2023 350SXF and extremely happy with the bike. Enjoy!!
