Are the Husky's updated with the new injection as well? I thought it was KTM only this year
Husky is all new too on the TX, TE stays the same as the old bike and the XCW.

Nice. I considered the XC model, but concerned about the air forks compared to the XCW

I have a 2020 TX and honestly I really like the forks. I did update the mid valve to the 21 version which helped hold up a lot but really they have been quite good.

My buddy picked up his 300sx yesterday and rode it.

He’s not quiet in love yet, it signs off way before his previous bike (2021 250sx with 300 kit) but does track a lot better. He said it rides a gear high compared to the 21 pretty much everywhere, and is definitely suited more towards 450 guys getting on a 2 stroke vs a 2 stroke guy.

Some say that they might keep tpi on the xc-w for emissions purposes?

I wonder how much of this can be tuned with an ignition? I would have to think a competent tuner could get the bike to continue making power up to the redline.

I wish husky made a TX250, I much prefer the husky look over orange. Plus its a little shorter overall for us vertically changed guys.

Some of it is just the nature of a square bore and stroke. It does sound like these are not revvers even the 250.

For sure it is but I would think a tuner could move some of the power with fueling and timing. It will be interesting to see how these respond to ignition systems.

A different head can also put some power back up top.

Probably by your just taking away from what a 300 motor is really good at. Low to mid grunt.

I’m not talking about turning it into a complete revver. Just make it continue to make power to the redline. I’m sure some of that could be tuned.

My manual says nothing over 70% throttle for 3hrs then not over 90% for 5hrs. Then after that let'r rip.
I haven't gotten to ride my 23 250XC yet sadly.

According to the manual they take about 5hrs to break in, if he went ham fist on it right out of the gate the motor is still probably a little tight.

Two strokes don’t keep pulling until the rev limiter stops them like a four stroke does. If you pull up tpi dyno curves (dirt rider has some) the 300 falls off like a normal 2t but then keeps making about 20hp on the dyno for another 1-2k rpm which is super weird. I wonder if the new bike is the same way? The 250 doesn’t show that on the dyno. It hits peak falls off quick and is done.

The good: My dealer called me to tell me he has been invoiced for the bike, could be here by Friday…. South Florida…
The bad: My knee hurts and I need to take some time off😂

I understand that. It wasn’t long ago a 4 stroke wouldn’t rev. I’m just saying the stock mapping could explain the sharp drop and it will be interesting to see how these motors react to an ignition and tuning.

I’m really hoping mine shows up in the next week or so. Already got my cone valves and traxx ordered from race tech, pipe and silencer ordered. I’m not a fan of orange, will be switching the front fender, number plates and fork guards, anyone know if the 23 shrouds are stickers of direct printed graphics?

A dyno run with a sniffer will tell the tale. I have a feeling a lot of how these new bikes are running on a dyno wont tell you what the seat of your pants will.

I’m waiting on suspension, pipe/silencer to show up and a few other little parts. I’ll ride it this weekend hopefully.

What pipe and silencer did you get and what brand? I was surprised how short the muffler was on the off road bikes and I will likely order an FMF but they don’t show exactly what it looks like and wondered if they even made a longer one that would be quieter.

FMF Gnarly
2.1 Titanium silencer. It’s a few inches longer than stock and definitely quieter than the short stock ones.
I’ll be riding it this weekend, but I’ve already swapped it out, so won’t have a comparison to stock.

The Turbinecore will likely be even quieter, but they aren’t ready yet.

Yeah I ran that muffler on my 20 and loved it but I ran the fatty to get more top end. I’d be interested to see how the gnarly performs but I doubt the bike needs more bottom haha. Plus I like the factory fatty because looking cool trumps all lol. Post up the muffler when you get it on!

The graphics are embedded into the plastics.

If you look at the power parts catalog, they are offering a few different colored plastics, if you can’t stand the orange. To each their own, they have a pretty blue you might like ? It’s either that or white or black.
