250 class in both series? I'd put him as a top 3 contender in regional SX and 250 MX. Not my absolute favorite for a title right now but I predict a lot of podiums if he stays healthy.

Hoping he finally gets that SX title. We know he's a contender for MX title.

I just hope he can stay healthy in sx. Then kill it outdoors with Shimoda.

First, I hope he can stay healthy. I really would like to see him in it for a full season. I think he is for sure a contender in both classes. Still on a Yam, same suspension as he had at Star. The TD motors rip on those Club bikes. So I think he can be right there in SX and MX.

Top five indoors and outdoors.

If the team can figure out their technical DNF issues, outdoors could be a little better...I'm seriously worried about bike issues for him.

Unfortunately....I would guess he's injured after 3 rounds of SX, misses all of Outdoors, and calls it a career like Troll. Sucks...I like J-Mart..

I agee. He will have a few DNF that will cost him a chance at a title

Jmart has never been the best sx rider so even if he doesn’t do well in sx can’t really judge him off that tell he does 1 or 2 outdoor races then would be really able tell how he’s going do mx on the new team . I just hope he makes it through sx healthy because I think he can be contender outdoors if he can stay heathy. The club mx bikes look super good and strong and reliable

Endurance definitely won’t be an issue

We all want him to do well.
But if I had to put money down on a prediction.
I would gamble he races 2-4 rounds of sx. Gets injured. It effects his mx series and cannot ride to his full potential.

What’s up with that? Supplier issues, mechanic oversight, a little A a little B?

I have my thoughts but I won’t say without confirmation. However, those guys had a lot of engine swaps / issues this year and J-Mart will likely be harder on that package than anyone they’ve had so far.

I would bet cutting corners in replacing engine parts because of the cost. Would be my guess

I hate to say this, but also being real. If history is an indicator, he will get hurt in SX and either miss outdoors because of it or miss half of SX because of it. He is so talented, but injuries will keep him from his potential. I hope he can somehow avoid that this year because he can be a contender in both series if he can stay upright.

I don't have high hopes for him in Supercross. I just hope makes it through to the outdoors. People seem to forget how fast he was outside.

Has anything changed besides dropping down to a lesser team?

In that case, same as he always does. Struggle through SX, possible injury and sit out the rest of the winter and focus on mx where he will be a top 3 rider.

A lot of these predictions sound harsh, but I guess honest as well. I really hope he makes it out of SX healthy and maybe in the top 6.
Then hopefully he contends for a championship outdoors. Does he still have the raw speed in mx? Likely, however their are some real fast young riders (Shimoda, H. Lawrence), that aren't going to be easy for him to beat. I say top 3 in MX if he's healthy all season

My pick for the 2023 Outdoors is Jo all day. Also for Supercross whatever coast he rides, especially if Jett is on the other coast.

Think about it like this. All we hear is how amazing Star is as a team and how good the bike is. It's maybe slightly exaggerated but it's true.

How could it be a positive move to go from that to a B-level team (although Club Yamaha is probably the best non-factory team)? You're completely right, he will with high probability be the same (or maybe worse because of the increased risk of mechanical failures).

But that is still a very high level. Top-3 outdoors on a 250, top-5 if things go well indoors.
