Maybe he should of thought of his dickhead title for the thread first if he didn’t want people commenting.

I was in contact with him last night - he has just scored an absolutely pristine restored 78 CR250, and is going to put period correct mods to it.

I asked him if he's going to the Melbourne WSX, and he may not get to it - he's busy working on the Track he runs and lives at, and doing some Shearing - he's a Shearer, and They are among the hardest working people on the Planet - I did a bit of it in my younger years, and it is a brutal way to make a living. But, if you are good at it, it can be a pretty lucrative living. I gather he's been really good at it - His bike collection is pretty bloody impressive, by the way.

I thought of going to the Melbourne WSX, but, when I added up the Flights, Accommodation, Ticket price, I decided to go to Singapore to visit some friends - so, No accommodation costs! Woohoo - , and do a day trip to KL, and attend the MotoGP at Sepang that's on the same weekend as the WSX. I did it in 2018, getting out of bed in Singapore at around 6.30am, and getting back to my friends house at around 10pm that night. And, it will cost me for a week or two in Singapore, only a couple of hundred bucks more than a weekend in Melbourne....... Cool
He has some awesome bikes in his collection.

It’s interesting to say the least to see such a drastic change in delivery dates. Scouring the Internet I can’t find any news whatsoever other than the rave ride reviews from June-ish. I read on Forbes an article stating Stark had millions in sales in a 24 hour period but the reality of that article was they had $100 deposits being counted as $14,000 sales. My bet is that December 2023 date gets pushed back even further.

Anyone else receive their check-in call from sales rep yet?

Also, my local dealer has an audio recording advertisement on their phone line stating they will be receiving bikes here in May 2023, for what its worth.

I received my call yesterday. Chatted for approximately 15 minutes. Answered all of the questions I had.

Nice! Waiting on mine.
What did they say? Is the delay „just“ supply chain issues or are there problems with the production? Any info on changes to the bike?

They must have had a lot of queries after their last email that subtly mentioned to just “check your delivery date”

The swap pod was good. He actually got the guy to say they still have only 6-7 vargs in the wild.

And salt water testing can take 5 years to check for corrosion.

Nothing too outrageous. Just supply chain constraints.

They did say the “estimated” date everyone currently has is far enough out that they are confident they will be achieved without any further postponements.

Bikes will be shipped directly to consumers home. If purchaser wishes bike can be redirected to closest dealer for initial setup.

Also asked about the integrated charging stand that is shown in the videos. That may or may not be the actual charger. Seemed like that was something they wanted to include but might not occur. Charger may be standalone equipment.

Thanks for the info!
I’m listening at the moment. I have no doubt they will deliver a fine bike. We‘ll see if they can hit the new delivery dates.
Always interesting when they talk about who they hired! Seems like they’re not cutting corners there!

At 33:35 they talk about lap times.
Seems to confirm what they said about Dylan Woodcock’s lap times. Swap compared his own GoPro Footage and was much faster on the Varg. A Spanish guy compared a 450 with the Varg while the Spanish Federation did the timing. Also a good bit faster in the eMX.

To look at it completely factual and emotionless:
If the Varg has a well made chassis to its KTM brakes and KYB suspension, how should an ICE bike have a faster lap time?

If you guys get tired of waiting you can always go pick up a new Alta in the interim

Thanks for your heartfelt concern Johnny!
Don’t worry, I‘ll be ripping my 125 till the bike arrives.

What’s the picture in your head of a typical Stark owner?

The longer you have to wait for delivery, the better the bike is going to be (from a design, quality and durability standpoint)

Going back through this thread there was a lot of explanations why they wouldn’t be able to deliver on time (more than just supply chain issues).

I do believe the bike will be worth the wait..

I am looking forward to hearing real life feedback from folks (some of those in this thread).
