There are some kickass deals to be made for clothes, bags, etc on the streets there, too.
And I would highly recommend a motorcycle trip across the country, it is a blast.
USGP fees in 2010:
Team Rider Entry(Team must be approved by FIM): 10,000 Euro per rider(in 2010 the euro-dollar exchange rate was $1.40 in January...so $14,000 USD per rider).
Entry Fee: Entry fee was around $1000 per round(team paid it)
Start Permission each race(insurance policy needed-US policy was not valid for FIM): $200 and moved up to $225 if I remember right.
FIM license:$900
Approx. fee to hold GP $400k (I do believe this fee is negotiable depending on the interest of MXGP...for Dubai the government just bought one less Rolls Royce this year to pay for the race) I would speculate that Glen Helen has very special arrangements, since USGP really wants/needs US interest.

If so there's a lot of $$$ there somewhere.
"You don't know man you weren't there"
I also understand having 6 on the calendar if you can make big $ in fees.
But damn just use some of that money and pay all the expenses for the top 20 in points so that they actually make the trip. If someone is injured pay the next in line or pay #1 in emx.
No more vroom-vroom for this baby-san.
This has happened with the Sidecar boys in the past.
My guess would be a 2nd race in Italy and it will be Sardinia. Reason is Italy hosted 4 GP's in 2022, and only 1 is on the calender for 2023. And i expect Sardinia because it would be strange to hold 2 Italian GP's within 2 weeks within a couple of km's apart from each other.
