Plano Hondas last year was 2002 when they were Shark Plano Honda.

Correction: Hey, just saw this. Anyways, the biggest you can go on a 04 is 134cc unless you bore it at a certain spot. It can be done, but you have to bore it off center. Kinda strange. So you can probably do his 139cc kit, but check into it first, to make sure they will do the bore for you. Anyways, send us your intake boot and reed setup and you will get it back happy for $50 plus shipping. Eric Gorr is a good person to look for as far as porting, so I recommend him on that and he can bore yours to match those pistons while he has it. But no one else does our intake mods. pm me for more info. With a 134cc kit, porting and our intake mods. There will be no faster 125 in your area. good luck.

Lumpy, very interesting about the 139cc parts. You may have opened a VERY LARGE can of worms. ha ha.

Using the quick parts look up on the right drop down Honda and put the part numbers in. Leave model blank and click Look Up.....that part fits all those years.....dont forget to scroll to the bottom and click the next page or All.

I'm looking at picking one of these up in near new condition tomorrow so I can ride while my cylinder is being replated. Did you ever do any mods that helped a lot?

From a performance and maintenance standpoint the 05-up are better to buy...the '04 still had the RC valve doohickey....'05's like mine pictured here had the "old style" mechanical power valves....

Im not sure if he is a member here, but Ive heard of Moto814, a reputable two-stroke engine builder saying that stock KX125 pipes help with the 02-04 CR125s. Pro Circuit if youre looking for more mid-top end gains.

My cousin has a built up CR125, varner motor I believe. I havn't ridden a 125 since 02, my god hose things are slow! He rips on it pretty good but my 200lbs was giving her all she could handle. A total blast to ride, you feel like bubba cant make the bike go fast enough. I have no idea how they rode those things in SX with their razor blade power bands.

Sharp lookin bike looks like a good buy and fun project.

I'll probably be picking the bike up today. The guy says it's been ridden about 6 times, looks clean in the pictures, and I got him down to $1400. I also found an 05 intake boot, is it true those help quite a bit as far as power?

I don't get it. O.K. you buy a almost good as new bike for a couple of grand. So far so good. But then you go and throw loads of money at some thing which is SIX YEARS old and not particularly competitive when even new. WHY???

It's not going to be worth more than you paid for it after a few rides no matter how much you "upgrade" it. What is the facination with old Hondas on Vital? They have rarely ever been the best production bike available in any class. Is it that you all just love the colour?
