Supposedly it’s just a steel frame KTM re-do with WP suspension. Engine should be interesting but won’t be anywhere near as light as the KTM. Final product is something similar to a marine colored beta.

KYB, their own engine and a steel frame (different design, not the same as KTM)

A buddy of mine that works for Triumph snapped a pic for me the other day. Here it is.
The colors are different than most were saying but it looks pretty lightweight and somewhat water proof.

I've been doing some testing for Triumph. They've got the bike disguised as an adventure bike. It hauls the mail...that's all I can share right now.....

Wow that's a convincing costume. Like disguising an Apache as a C-17. Magic.

I really hope they nail the chassis and the engine package because a steel frame coming stock with KYB is a dream to me.

Why has everybody been insisting it's a KTM? I mean it's the most ridiculous leap ever. Is KTM the only company who has ever made a steel frame? Don't people think that if KTM wanted another marque they would just buy a defunct or nearly defunct name and give it the Husky/GasGas treatment? Hell, I'm shocked they haven't introduced a Penton yet.

I hope it has three cylinders.
So, you want a cable clutch not hydraulic?

Automatic transmission 👍

Since they are building the bike from scratch, if they dont come with a reverse engine like the Yamaha it will be a huge mistake! If they can come to the market with steal frame, decent suspension & one of the fastest 250 engines available & decent finishes with brembo brakes etc then they will sell good numbers.
But in the 250 class the engine is key!

Pic was from the "Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show" a few years ago. It's June 4th next year. Lots of cool bikes and cars to see.

Isnt the reverse engine patented?

Do triumphs still need to come with oil trays ?
