Good coolant?

Just had to drain my coolant to do some engine work and I was just wondering what is a good coolant out there? I've heard of Engine Ice but I''m not to sure about it. Any ideas?

Engine Ice Sucks ass. That guy that makes it doesn't give anything away for free. I actually have to buy it each year. What a jip!

FWW you cant go wrong with engine ice. If you really want a score, pick up some of the Pro Clean stuff. Same guys make it, its illegal how good that stuff works.

Two2Cool's coolant and their oil additive work very well.

No experience with EI.

Engine Ice is good Motul is good Maxima coolanol is good. You can put regular old green in it if you are cheap, but the motospecific stuff does a better job.

All those mentioned above are good. Engine Ice's owner posts here. I'm guessing you didn't know that.

For all the engine work I do (and I do a lot) I usually use the 50/50 premixed Honda coolant. I don't know why but I like it better than the premixed brands Wal-Mart carries.

redline water wetter and distilled water i have never had an over heat riding in deep sand and 116 degree weather. Stuff works great and is cheap! be sure to put antifreeze in if your bike sits in a temp. colder than 32 degrees because it is not an antifreeze! just coolant!

After trying just about every brand out there over the last 25 years ......I only use Engine Ice. Its the best ...period.....and you dont need to worry about it freezing in the Winter like water.

And lunch is on Dave tomorrow at LL for everyone!

I use Maxima Coolanol and have not had any issues with it, seems to work just fine. They are all pretty good, just so long as you check the level of the fluid often, and change it out at least once a year you should be good to go!
