Ew. I don't think that's what you're supposed to do with it.

I mean look, at every local track you have a few posers who hold themselves out as “MX trainers.” Most of these guys never even made it to Loretta’s as a kid, let alone know how to ride at a full pace like Nico.

Have you ever had a gf or friend go get motorcycle training to learn to ride a street bike? Could be $200 some places. Nico has a very “niche” skill set that is in demand to some people. I don’t like hearing that he is “scamming” people.

Show me an insurance salesman or a social media influencer and I’ll show you a scammer

What parent would want a low character person training their kids? There are plenty of ex pros who haven’t been in jail for DV, theft, and drug abuse that I would much rather have my kids look up to. Speed on a dirtbike means shit.

Its not so much his raw speed, it’s more the fact that through working with Ronnie over all those years, Nico developed and learned very fine technical skills. How to pick lines, how to work the bike with the feet and palms of the hands, keep gas on through braking bumps, and so on. Ronnie was literally the gold standard of MX training in the 2000’s Nico and Ian trettel were his initial marquee riders but AC is the one who ended up having the most success.

Its sort of like studying under Picasso for a decade. I’m sorry but there’s simply no way you can in good conscious say Nico is not qualified to instruct MX. You simply don’t know his background well enough
Im sure Nico had picked a few good “lines” in his day and I ain’t talking about on a dirt bike.

Click on the little magnifying glass 🔍 in the top right corner of the forum page and type on “Nico Izzy” read one of the 15 threads over the last 15 years and click on the links that others posted in the threads. There’s PLENTY of information for you there.
I’d like nothing more than to see him stay clean and sober, even make a comeback to racing. But I will not hold my breath on any of it. He’s made some REALLY bad choices since 2007.

There are plenty of “MX Trainers” that shouldn’t be taking money for training kids or any riders fir that matter. Just because someone is capable of racing AMA Pro MX or SX, does not mean they can train someone else.
Nico might have the ability to train someone and he definitely has the knowledge behind him. I’m not disputing that, but you’re putting him up on a pedestal as one of the best and that’s simply not true. Stop while you’re ahead, not going to convince anyone of what a great guy he is.

No you’re right. You put me in my place. I’m not going to make it my life’s work to defend this POS

This is not Sloan, might be Nico himself, which is factual evidence on him being back on drugs, and not clean, I can't find another way to explain this otherwise.

Touché. But this doesn’t necessarily and directly correlate to him giving bad riding lessons to kids
Who said bad trainer?

I stated “scamming amateur parents”. As he would receive payment for multiple sessions and show up to one or none and ghost.

Very well documented over the years on here and facebook. So no need to waste time sourcing anything. His record and criminal record surely should be enough to steer any future customers away.

You can accuse me of being whatever random user you want. But you’re gonna have to live with the fact that my source was reliable and you heard this news from me first.

Bar X would be absolutely retarded to not bring back Schwartz and hire Izzi. For a team that was gaining some momentum, hiring Izzi would be a huge step backwards and nobody would take them serious.

I left a question mark because I’m not 100% myself, I just heard from a rider literally on the team that Nico will go to BarX next year. I don’t know the rational or schematics or anything . Doubt anything is formally on paper either

Not nico, he grammar and spelling is worse. Plus on his Instagram he’s claiming he’ll be racing straight rhythm and then SX.

Why wouldn’t he try? He obviously had time to think about things and he’s going all in. Also his post on ig today implied he has some extra change to spend

These kind of posts are sad to me. Guy goes through hell and back (yes, self induced), comes back to the only thing he knows / loves and wants to try again. Everyone piles on him like they have never made a mistake. Give the guy a little grace, let him earn your respect. He didn't come on here with a go fund me asking for your 401k to go racing.

I've seen him every day we've been at the track in the last month or so, he's grinding.

I did know some mini parents back in the day who were training with him, they all had great things to say about him. I could see he wasn't all there at the time and wasn't interested in having him tutor my kid.
