How far are you from Jacksonville? I am pretty sure WW does training.

If you’re looking for an actual training program and all that look into mx specs rider development (I think you can only find it on Facebook) they just started using Alessi’s track for some of the training and I can speak first hand on the quality of training and coaching.

If your just looking for a place to ride. North Florida mx is open on Wednesday and Thursday. Located on the Florida / Georgia border. PAX track is also open on some weekdays. Pax is located in Bunnell, Fl. About an hour north of Daytona.

North Florida MX is a very basic beginner track and the owner charges $50 a day for “fast” riders instead of the advertised $30. I wouldn’t recommend ever going there.

For tracks:
Okefenokee MX
Pax Trax
Bostwick
Waldo
Sunshine State MX

For training facilities:
Club 57 (at WW Ranch)
GPF
Moto VIP

I go go to North Florida when I'm out east (last time was easter of this year). While a fast guy will hit all the jumps in the first three laps, that doesn't mean is isn't a fun layout with amazing dirt.

Never been charged more than the posted $30.

Just wanted to make it known that the track owner doesn’t support privateers or racers in general. That’s all.

man that's a shame, I thought that was a great little spot if you were coming from the north (I made it in 10 hours from south PA) But charging $50 bucks just because you are a pro sounds like they are trying to deter them.. Luckily I suck so Ill save 20 bucks but still that's really weird for a track to do that.

Certainly not the most technical track, but as others have said the dirt is amazing. The owner is actually an ex-pro from the 80’s/90’s (was a privateer). Not sure how many times you went to the track, but pretty sure he would have waived the practice fee if you let him know you were a privateer chasing the dream.

For North Florida give Brad with Club57MX at WW Ranch a call to see if his program fits your needs.

Unfortunately not. I’ve spun probably a thousand laps there and after a while I was told I can’t ride on Thursday’s because I was tearing it up too much and he didn’t want to have to groom again for the weekend. Weird, but ok. A week or so later I was told it would be $50 because I’m tearing the track up too much (also can’t ride till after noon). I mean if he wants to charge $50 to ride, that’s fine. But charging only faster guys more? Pretty lame.

Okefenokee is right down the road, has the same dirt, better layout, and has let me ride during the week a few times. I’d suggest anyone to go there instead.

Anyways I don’t want to keep harping on this, but that’s what happened and I thought people should be aware.

For Wednesday's open practice, the track is not groomed. It's been that way for about 5 years, so not sure when you last spun your thousand laps. Wednesday, not groomed. Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, track is groomed into orange frosting. Alan is not after the pros. They are not regulars and never will be. He's interested in protecting the local amateurs...the folks that help him meet his monthly bills. It's not cheap or easy running an MX track by yourself. It is exceedingly difficult and expensive.

Alan and I sometimes disagree about how he operates, but his experience trump's my naivety - besides it's his circus - not mine.

For a "beginner" track, I've sure seen a hell of a lot of guys hauled out of there on a back board hollering for mommy.

Op, please contact Max Darling and Kraig Reese for some outstanding, affordable one on one training. If the schedule is right, you might even get to chase MA800 with the bonus of some start training.

Alan is my friend and always will be. None of us are perfect. Come meet Alan, you'll make a friend for life.
