Klotz racing gas... I can remember my old man used to buy the 5ga. steel container for the race bikes. He used to get so pissed off at me at times.... when the lawn mower was running rough, I always filled the tank up with race gas. Needless to say, I got a good ass chewin'

Castor for me. Measured into a baby bottle so I didn't screw it up.

Klotz was using that metal can when all others were using plastic.
A large screwdriver would open the can quite nicely thank you.
The dark red contents could then be poured in the 5 gal. gas can.

Maxima castor 927 actually smelled better, I my opinion anyway.

The real Old school was Castrol R (bean oil) and high-test gas. No Matter what Team Honda said they ran as oil there was never a doubt if you stood behind one of the early 2 stroke Factory bikes. And old school on the west coast was Blendzall gold label and green label and thats before Klotz buying it.

Blendzall green. Sweetest smell ever.

I kid you not, I still have and run Castrol R in my 2 stroke Snow thrower , chainsaw and weed whipper just to smell it and think about the good old days...

Been running Klotz since late 70's. I've ran it all in some way shape or form. 927, the old Maxima degummed castor, Blendzall, etc.


I run Klotz Supertechniplate with Castor in my boat. Nothing like 2.5 litres of V6 2 stroke smell to start out a day at the lake.


Castrol R is still available here and there.

I love you guys who run or ran a oil because of the smell LOL. Spectro Oil's are the only oil I run in my 2 strokes along with Race fuel VP or Sunoco. This has been very dependable for me over the years. I couldnt tell you the last time I blew up a bike and have never had tranny problem since swithching many many years ago.I am not sure what year I started using Spectro, but they are still around with an incredible line of products. I remember talking to Kenny K back in the day (early 80's) and I was able to get out of him that Honda was putting Yama lube in his race bike's. I never used Yama lube but some mechanic's. swear by it.

Nothing like the smell of Klotz on a cool Sunday morning!

I have been running Golden Spectro @ 50:1 for 20+ years and have never had a motor blow up.

I still run Klotz, not pure Benol, but Super techniplate(20% Castor) and other Klotz oil.

I get more compliments at the boat dock than anything.

Lots in winter ask me what I'm running since it smells so good.

Since the 70s, I've ran everything and every brand. Klotz is king though.
