Man scams NFL to get a superbowl ring that got him around $100k- gets 3 years in jail

D Watson sexually assaults how many women, has to sit out 11 games with a new insane contract.

make this make sense to me... Watson should be banned from the league, IMO.

what i heard is that, Watsons lawyers were threatening to expose crimes of owners/gms if they did not settle on this 11 game deal.

I want to continue watching the NFL, but god damn they are making it difficult.

Go Vikes...
Hadn't heard that, but not surprised. There were threats about exposing the NFL leadership when Gruden's emails were released. Apparently that went away too. So fucking corrupt. I love the game, but hate the league.

how about home-boy that made a couple bets on games that he wasn't playing in and got a 1 year suspension. yet child and woman beaters, molesters, rapists, etc only get a few games. give me a break.

That is the one that gets me. Ridley bets 1600 on a game he isn't playing in, gets a year, and may never actually play again, while these massage therapists keep coming out of the wood work, and Watson gets a slap on the wrist. Cleveland structured his contract that they are only getting about a $1million dollar cap hit for the year.

Or Josh Gordon who had his career ruined because he would rather smoke some weed for pain instead of popping a bunch of pain killers.

x2. I can set it up, reply to me and we can get a head count. Aim for 8 teams. Money games is cool with me.

I find it so odd that this Hard Knocks season seems to be focused more on the coaches than the players. But then again, they have some interesting characters (coaches) so I guess I get it. Jared Goff isn’t exactly “made for TV.” He’s a solid QB but kinda boring on air.

i think the reason for that is it is obvious they (coaches, Sheila Ford) are trying to change the losing bitter culture in Detroit football. the last manager/coach staff absolutely shit on the brand and took it from a competitive team to a bad attitude laughing stock. not only that but they took all our studs and shit on them and forced them out. this new regime, you can tell the players are buying into it, they want to be treated like men and be respected and that's what Dan Campbell is doing.

will it translate to winning football? that is yet to be seen, but man is this a breath of fresh air for us Lions fans.

as for Goff, if he has protection he is a great QB. this year, Lions have one of the best offensive lines in the game. that and he has a lot of weapons on offense. can't wait to see how it all plays out.

That makes sense. I’m really hoping Detroit can turn things around and have a good year. I really like St. Brown and I’m hoping he has a great year. He has the potential to be an elite receiver.

Was so looking forward to the season. Not going to be able to hang. Little tiny short spurts of football, placed between seemingly endless amounts of mind numbing ad wank. It's awful.

Same ole Lions. At least they didn’t blow a huge lead in the second half, so there’s that?

It’ll be interesting to see how many more sold out games with that hard knocks bump there is.

Chargers intercepted Carr 3 times, sacked him 4 times, and still almost lost. Wow.

Rodgers was my starting QB. My gut told me to switch to my backup Mahomes, but did I do it? Of course not.

I have Cupp and Diggs as receivers, so went into the weekend feeling good. Good feeling gone…

other than a dismal 2nd quarter i thought they looked good. they are going to struggle against mobile quarterbacks this year. but really other than the 2nd quarter the offense looked good and our run-game was really good. i considered the Eagles game a loss before kickoff so to be in it to the end was a plus. also Will Harris is a trash CB/Safety. i don't think he even makes the practice squad on another NFL team.

I watched that game last night real closely to see if I could be convinced that Justin Herbert is the real deal. I’ve had the opinion the last 2 years that he’s just an overrated new version of Phil Rivers, while the national media puts the guy in conversations with Mahomes, Brady, Rodgers, etc…..last night confirmed my feelings on this guy. Of course he’s gonna put up big numbers when they throw it almost every play. His goal line interception was stupid and pretty much cost them the game. I think Herbert is on the same level as Mac Jones or Cousins, not bad but just because you throw a tight spiral, doesn’t mean he’s the next Elway.

This is an interesting take on Herbert, I will have to respectfully disagree with you. To say that Mac Jones is in the same level as Justin Herbert is a very high compliment to Jones and an absolute slap in the face of Herbert. 😂 Last night Justin Herbert put a team on his shoulders and went toe to toe with the best team in the NFL. Did the Chargers charger? Of course they did it’s nothing new to anyone who has watched them play the last 20 years, killer fist half only to throw it away in the second. His interception was not only a great jump by the corner but also there TE who was motioning he needed to come out the play before just giving up on it. If that’s a touchdown instead of a pick 6 chargers win and this is a whole different conversation. Time will tell if Herbert becomes a all timer but the fact is he is a very special player with a laser rocket arm. Que Peyton Manning’s sprint commercial reference. 😂
