Every soccer match. 45 min halves uninterrupted on hundreds of major networks globally.

Hard to call the most widely televised sport the exception.

It’s pretty easy, I am talking about the USA here and the USA based series. I really don’t know how things are televised outside of my market.

It can and should stream uninterrupted when you pay for a subscription on the streaming app.

It’s like over half of you do not understand cable tv service vs paid streaming subscriptions.

Over and over you mix the two up and you are obviously confused when you don’t understand it is indeed possible to show the races commercial free. They have been doing it for years correctly on the peacock app.

On “cable tv” yes there are commercials. We get that.

On a paid subscription to a streaming service it should be commercial free uninterrupted racing.

If you ask me off the top of my head to name a company that advertises during a motocross race, I would say Geico, because of the 15 minutes to go thing that Weege does every moto. How about we take the podcast model and just listen to Weege read off some commercials mid moto from the booth? We don't miss the racing and I actually think the company's would get more attention/love.

The most egregious thing to me is the commercials are left in for the replay.

I am talking about USA here, too: ESPN/ABC, FOX, NBC/Peacock, CBS, Paramount+, Hulu all have major soccer coverage contracts.

I feel like you’re arguing for the sake of arguing at this point. The amount of uninterrupted coverage of soccer in the USA is pretty minimal.
My original statement is still valid about it being the exception rather than the rule. You have F1 and soccer, what else is giving you 35+ minutes commercial free?

Minimal? That's what I was trying to point out. There are literally dozens of matches on major American network broadcasts and streaming services every week. All are uninterrupted. That's how the sport is universally covered, because like a moto, there are no planned stoppages during a period of play.

I think the main point here is most every other sport doesn’t cut away in the middle of the action for a commercial.

Most other sports don’t need to cut award from the action because they have breaks that provide an opportunity to have a commercial. NASCAR cuts away all the time.

Speaking of Weege and Geico. How do we get Weege to stop mentioning the former Geico Honda team? Every week he gives Geico free publicity. Give Geico their 15 minutes are less promo and never say Geico again.

Moto has for 10+ years. That's why most people have been pissed, we regressed.

I've never missed a outdoor broadcast in ~10 years. When MAV took it over I started watching them Sundays because the replays were never up same day. Now that it's Flo I keep trying to watch but their player crashes on Chromecast so much that I need to watch on my PC or phone. It's 2022 and I've been streaming since ~2010, so I'm not tech illiterate...

It seems like it is trying to load an advertisement or something because the player will crash at the same point over and over, so I have to manually fast forward about a minute to continue watching. I'm pretty frustrated that I'm paying for a service that barely works, and I honestly haven't watched a moto since Unadilla.

Can't wait for this to go to Peacock because IMO the MAV/Flo experiment has not worked at all, and if anything has probably lost us a lot of viewers.

If they need commercials they just backload them too after the race.

My go-to setup is a ethernet-connected Roku with the FLO app installed. Also had the MavTVPlus app installed for early rounds.
Gig fiber to the house.

Results:

Live:
- MavTVPlus : BAD
- Early FLO: DECENT
- Later FLO: GOOD

Replay:
- MavTVPlus : DECENT
- Early FLO: GOOD
- Later FLO: EXCELLENT

I agree with the other poster that casting is really asking for trouble...periodic experiments to cast to a LG TV where the apps aren't available have not produced good results.

I went to Flo App on AppleTV 4K connected to Ethernet because the WiFi streaming was worse that previous years. Didn’t want to but definitely worth it. Been flawless since. Or connect a laptop/PC same way. Even the SmartTV Flo app is a dumb “go stream” banner. Just so much better to hardwire to Ethernet and connect via HDMI.

My Android TV device is 4k HDMI connected (Nvidia shield). No Proper FloTV app for platform, must use the garbage phone casting feature even though I am on a high end mass-market media box that is listed on the "supported platforms" for Flo.

I am on a gigabit fiber connection.

Sideloaded the app and stability is good on the Flo App with no buffering. I am getting decent FHD resolution.

Frame rate and compression levels are still very poor relative to other streaming services.

The techy part of me would want to know their setup.

How is it possible it changes between locations? Different production teams?

Even the PulpMX pre-race talk show just now, that is low resolution, very low... but at least the guys are sitting still so a low bitrate doesn't matter Wink

Mine has been perfect and not crashing ever. Roku or internet issue?

That’s what I thought but the only time it happens is when I watch FLO. All other apps stream flawlessly. It’s been this way since they moved to Flo. I can stream it later with no issues. Very odd. Stoked for next season on Peacock.

The outcome was once again ruined for me. Went to watch the 2nd 450 moto, hit play on the BLO app and I was automatically taken to the end of the moto with Eli holding the #1 plate. A fitting end to this mess. It’ll be a long time before I ever pay to watch moto. I’ll be watching on YouTube next year or through free links. Everyone involved should be embarrassed, please quit your jobs, you suck at this one. I want a refund. I hope Davy sues Mav and Flo for the damage they did to the series.

It’s not going to be on Flo next year but go off bragging about how you’ll never pay to watch the sport you enjoy and rather pirate it. 👍

Overall, not grading on an MX fan curve, MavTV followed by Flo, are the number one and number two worst paid streaming services to which I have ever subscribed.

Shaking my head, laughing at you. I don’t think you know definition of the word bragging. I know it’s not on flo next year, sry I’m not going to blindly support whatever platform it’s on again for a while. But feel free to continue defending the massive ball drop by mav and Blo. Go be a sucker if you want to be.
