Well it looks like the disastrous Honda ride is over.....
https://the-race.com/motogp/espargaro-reveals-he-has-signed-new-two-yea…

Will be interesting to see if he can resurrect his career.

Interesting to know the once coveted Honda ride might not be anymore other than the $$.
Seems only Marc can ride it and he is even struggling....Unsure

What happened to all the gp fans on here.. Rossi leaves and all of you do too?

Pecco has a grid penalty for the GP this weekend, should be interesting.

Marc and alex fire their manager?

Enea to factory

Remy no ride next year

Some notes from the past week or so.

What are you talking about, I posted and heard nothing but crickets. Laughing

Bummer about Gardner I had high hopes from him as I'd seen his Dad go around Laguna Seca many times and he was a certified Badass!

Kinda surprised Marco got signed to VR46 ducati but Marini hasn't yet..

season test is over, Yamaha brings a new motor and chassis, speed was only a few mph off of the ducatis. Good news for fabio as he also topped the last session.

Honda brought the 2021 bike? Marc had great pace.. what a comeback he is having. Not the biggest fan but we need him in the sport for sure.

Fabio is turning this championship in a bit of a snoozer and I must say I don't get how you guys keep saying his bike is slow.

He wouldn't have that much of a point lead with a slow bike, it might be down a few miles per hour to the Ducks but that is it.

Bummer for Pecca, that crash was weird totally caught him off guard didn't seem like he was overriding the bike and the rear tire just let loose. He was pissed as the Championship is over for him.

That’s not exactly the the help FQ20 needs. Sucks he got involved in the championship that way…… How about Crutchlow coming off the couch to score points and look better than Morbedeli, Dovi. It’s working up to be a great ending to the season.

That said, I put this on Yamaha, if Quatararo had the power he should have, he would have started further up the grid and likely not been near Marc when he had that moment on the rear wheel.

Okay 20-30 km/h was incorrect in race pace. Enea ran top speed of 354km/h vs Fabio 341 km/h in Q2. Still a little more than a few budWink

Agree. Wouldn't have gotten close to maniacal marc.

Glad dorna got their boy back. I guess when someone gets really hurt it will be too far?

20 KMH is what 12 MPH? who gives a fk. I was talking about one and you were talking about another. read the rest of that thread. You do this in every thread, you take the one small insignificant point and run full steam with it. Missing the whole reason for someone posting something.

I hurt your feelings about the suns in another thread and you came into here and brought up a thread post from three months ago?

What good have you done in this forum? From what I have seen, not much.

Hey dummy I CREATED this thread.
Been on this Forum since DAY 1 and started many ride/race threads and have had many stalkers in that time you're just the latest one.

Why don't you show your valuable input to this forum other than stating the obvious that the Yamaha is slower than the Ducati.

In fact all the Bikes are slower than the Ducatis Captain Obvious as they have captured the top 5 spots in qualifying the last few races.

I just find it funny about your hatred towards the Yamaha's when in fact it is still the reigning Championship machine even though as you stated it's 20-30 MPH SLOWER! Laughing

Oh and BTW I'm not a Fabio fan as I would rather see Alex and Aprilia take it.

Gary, What's your opinion on the Yamaha's top speed this year? Do you think it is an issue or hindering Fabio's performance at all?

You are right, 20-30 was a stretch. From what I have seen and read Yamaha is down 10-20 KM/H or 6-12 MPH (give or take) on top speed at most tracks. I honestly meant km/h, I see I didn't specify so I understand why you laughed at that. All good.

Do you think being slower hurts them or not so much? I think at some tracks it does.

I am a Fabio fan, Yamaha fan, and never owned more bikes of any other brand. It's not hate, I just want them to give Fabio a better package because I think he has a chance to be a great. Maybe not a marc or rossi level... but I think he can win a handful of ships.

Ok Mr Skeef (don’t know your name) but hopefully we can keep it civil moving forward. Smile
Yes it’s amazing what Fabio has been able to do with the underpowered Yami the last few years as it seems the Ducat R&D dept has an endless supply of dough.

I think I remember reading somewhere that they share Wind tunnels with Ferrari and I can only imagine the Technology and resources they have combined. It seems every few months or so they have some new trick Aero design on their bikes and the other mfg's end up copying in some way.

Personally, I’m not a fan of all this high tech stuff as I remember the 500cc two stroke BEASTS that required the rider to have more control of the bikes or otherwise be pitched off the HIGHSIDE in a violent crash.

I believe Yamaha has pretty much gotten everything they can out of the inline 4 without having to risk blowing it up and I can only imagine the frustration Fabio has as he has to ride the bike to it’s absolute limits to compete. It sounds like they are sticking with the design for at least another year.

Last weeks unfortunate incident with the Rollerball Marc (I joke) coming into play sure has made the Championship a LOT more interesting with only a handful of races left.
Wonder what the Ducati bosses were thinking when Bastanini was putting the HEAT ON Peka? Can you imaging if he took them both out as he is about to join that Team! Woohoo But damn that guy is fearless!

Do you remember the madman who is banned from competing for a drug suspension ANDREA IANNONE took out his Ducati teammate with a few laps to go! He also cleanout out Rossi that same year!

I don't think the speed advantage the Ducs have can be understated. It matters a lot. It takes a lot less to pass someone on a straight than it does on a corner. Any pass Quatararo makes requires absolute last instant braking and perfect execution. The Ducati guys can simply twist the throttle on the straights and drive by him.

Quatararo also has to pick his spots, in order to make a pass stick, he's got to do it with enough track between him and the big straightaway to build a gap, otherwise the red rockets will just cruise right back by him. I really hope that the results we've seen the last few weeks aren't Fabio fading. He's been working so damned hard for every spot it wouldn't surprise me if its wearing him down.

Looks like it might be a wet race this weekend

I think the biggest difference between Ducati and rest but particularly the Japanese factories is the others are reading the rulebook and building the bike to it, and Luigi Dall'Igna spends every waking hour (and dude looks like he hasn't slept a wink since, ever) reading that thing cover to cover looking for things it doesn't say they can't do. And now we have every bike in the field with snow shovels stapled all over them and sketchy suspension devices, all of which has killed overtaking. Hate and admire the guy.

What, what started out looking like a snoozer ended up being kind of a wild race! Gutted for Espargaro, he had a real shot at re-taking 2nd in the points if not for the pit lane start.
