I'm not sure we had the same takeaways from the video. Looked like Dylan pushed him off track, just barely enough to skirt the inside of a marker, and Barcia tried to maintain the position by blocking Ferrandis. Maybe not the best move, but not even top 5 Barcia moves this year based on the gopro IMO. Doesn't seem worthy of a DQ, unless that was due to him being on probation.

Not really "got passed, so he cut the track to t bone him", like it was made out to be.

I mostly agree. I don’t think what he did was reasonable, but I was expecting worse before I saw his GoPro video.

after watching the video it looks to me like he cut the inside track marker at the top of the track just before impact. Not real obvious though.

I thought I saw DF14 just ahead of JB in the instant before the impact. Not JBs worst, but it’s another rider punted off the track by a guy who can’t control his desperation when he’s in a battle.

How many take outs are acceptable before real penalties are handed out? And how does the AMA make it painful for a wrecking ball like 51 when he rides that way? Taking points away but using the footage in highlights isn’t a punishment at all, it’s just giving a ton of exposure to sponsors. Probably is a net financial gain for JB.

I’d like to see suspensions from future races handed down for the worst case takeout moves, maybe double the penalty if injury results from the takeout. And if the guy bowled over is a factory guy or a privateer being lapped, the penalty should be the same, that hasn’t been the case in the past.
