Matthes works for RacerX so he won't say anything bad about MX Sports/Cotter et al. Very bad look for Yamaha/Star racing/Walker. An unbelievable twist to this story! Glad the truth finally came out straight from Brennan. He is very well spoken and articulate given how high profile this whole thing is. I guess TFS was right after all!

Why does that matter?

You're perfectly allowed to "have it out" for other racers. In fact, that's pretty much foundational to sport in general at high levels of competition.

Who cares? He was just exercising his rights via the rule book. Who cares what the motive is, it’s besides the point.

Star got caught with their pants down and behaved unethically to not let this dude just do what he is allowed to do. Entitlement from the rich and privileged once again. No doubt this kid will always be given a side eye for just attempting to do what the rule book says he could.

Now it makes sense why they don't want to race amateur again. Sucks for Brennan, I would've wanted to do the same thing if I was racing against a factory bike. If it wasn't a factory bike with unobtanium parts on it, they should've had no problem letting him buy it. Either way, doesn't make Star, Yamaha or the Deegans look good.


Oh well, that factory bike advantage goes out the window in the pro class. If they felt he needed that advantage for LL, good luck in the pros.

Honestly, who gives a shit if the builder is involved or not?

Don't want a builder to be able to claim that motor because the build spec is just too valuable to your factory team? Then don't bring it to a fucking amateur race!

Couple things
1. Good on DonM for owning it, but it does suck that you were basically calling all of us that said this didn’t pass the smell test a bunch of idiots
2. DC really needs to make a public statement in this as it’s his event and Cotter is his employee
3. Slow old guy, do you want to say this kid is full of shit?
4. Wish this kid would’ve had his phone on during this
5. They better change the rule for next year or they are going to have a line of people claiming bikes

I don’t disagree on the motor part. I’m just saying pump the fucking brakes on the witch hunt lol. You all think Brian literally had a 17 year old kid cornered in a room intimidating him?
