Lets assume Yamaha USA was at Lorettas... I mean, no need for yamaha canada to be there as they had american reps on the ground...
That would not keep Yamaha USA from harassing the kid about the claim... doesn't keep them from offering the kid deals to go back on his claim... and with the actual dealer on the ground at Lorettas... it does not keep the Yamaha USA rep from walking up to said dealer and saying "I'll make one call and your yamaha contract is gone!".......
but... you jump to conclusions, like a 12 yr old would.... "that pretty much puts it to bed"... LMAO....
You really don't think that would lead to a huge legal battle?
A quick check of the link Swordfish posted makes it appear this is a huge, full line Yamaha dealer...something tells me it'd take more than "one call" to make that go away.
Motoplex is a big operation, they have deep pockets. Ducati, Triumph, Suzuki, BMW, Polaris, Indian.
Pit Row
And that Deegan and star didn’t cheat, they just wanted to keep there bike, and they have the money and are in a position to keep it so they did.
And that after talking to Brian Deegan, that the kid realized that’s not the way to go about getting a star bike and they decided not to go ahead.
Everyone gets so caught up and wants there to be more to it, but why?
If it was a dead set they think there cheating then why wouldn’t they just got protest????
It just seems pretty extreme (and a breach of contract) for Yamaha to pull their line from a dealership of that size over something like this.
Does it really make sense that the huge corporation that is Yamaha would put in the time and resources to take away this dealers contract over a claim filed at an Amateur Race, by a no-name kid from Canada that probably has their logo on his graphics cause they sold him a bike at cost and he gets cost plus 10% on parts?
Not to mention, the Racing side and Dealership side of Yamaha are completely separate from each other.
I'm sure some shit went on behind the scenes with this that we'll never know about, but I just can't wrap my head around threatening the dealer who (by what I've read at least) had zero to do with the whole situation....
Why else would the owner of the dealership be brought in to the meeting room with Cotter, Brian Deegan and the kid? The dealer had absolutely nothing to do with this whole situation, yet was brought in to a closed door meeting before the father for what reason? Anyone who thinks his licensing wasn’t threatened….please explain to me why he was involved in any capacity then.
Was the kids Father even at the race? Pretty sure I read he wasn't... so I guess that would explain why he wasn't in the room....
Post a reply to: Deegan bike claimed? Everyone, please stop now
