IMO... If I'm WSX, and I want to win the war.... I would lock Danger Boy, Ryder, and Ferry into 5 yr deals at some insane amount of money... if WSX wants to live.. they gotta be the future, not the past...

They are? So you have personally talked to all those amateurs and they showed you their locked in contracts with Feld?? Damn.. you are an insider aren't you!!!

LMAO...

How old are you Don???.... My guess is 12, but i could be off by a year or two... for the grown ups in here, who know how the world actually works... if WSX wanted Danger Boy... and offered him an exclusive contract for 8 digits for 5 years... you don't think he would take that over however much Feld/Star is gonna paying him to race SX???? WSX could pay off any and all other contracts, at any time (are you aware of that??).... WSX are not poor people.. nor are they cheap... and at this point... they are doomed to failure putting guys like old Hill and Reed out there... and their 250 riders are basically non-existent.. if WSX wants to last more than a year or two, they are gonna have to out-Feld, Feld....

If someone like Roczen wins would Honda use "WSX champ" in any ads or do they ignore it completely?
Honda won't use Roczen for long anymore anyway.
Or is it the other way round?

I think it’s just the way it’s being promoted and presented as a contender to outdoor racing. This isn’t the premier series, full of retired or 2nd tier guys, and it’s all on arenacross tracks. I have a hard time seeing it go any farther than the 3 races they run this year.
What makes you say arena cross tracks?

For someone who is known for posting dumb shit you went all out with this one....first of all not one rider has a contract with Feld...
Deegan and Ryder D's contracts takes them into the first two years as a pro (Ryder's was with Kawi and is being placed on PC) Ferry is contracted with factory Yam in the US...so yeah they are locked into contracts in the US....
Secondly I don't care if WSX has a gazillion dollars to offer them they are under contract to race here and if they were dumb enough to sign a second contract it would go to the courts and the courts would decide who's contract is valid and in the meantime they wouldn't be racing in either series until it is decided...and as far as paying off or buying out a contract...that would take all parties to agree to and that's not going to happen....and lastly I think it's very apparent who the 12yr old is....

Can we take a moment to discuss just how damn underappreciated kilts are? I'm pretty solidly Irish which may or may not be obvious by the first 3 letters of my screen name so I can probably pull it off. I've been seriously considering the tactical kilts for generally around the house shenanigans and yardwork etc. Usually, I'm chilling in some lightweight basketball shorts but in the Florida summer heat the threat of swampass is never far away. The idea of a cooling 95-degree breeze blowing up my kilt sounds pretty damn good.

Bonus points, my wife would probably hate it and be mad at me every time I wore it.

Has anybody actually listened to any podcasts regarding this series?? It’s on tamed down supercross tracks, pretty much arenacross. I understand all the aussies finally have a series someone might actually care about but it isn’t ground breaking or changing the sport. Just adding another Australian D league to motocross.

Aren’t arena across tracks tight and small ??? The stadium being used for aus round is large, maybe do some research before trying to be condescending

Marvel Stadium is a world class retractable roof facility and much bigger than many of the US venues.

It's convenient as well with under-stadium parking.

Last time, in 2019, they had about 40,000 spectators.

Obviously, the track will not be built to the highest difficulty- because the field are not all top Pros in their prime. - and who wants to see riders go down and sustain sickening injuries in huge whoop sections anyway?

Not me, the riders or WSX.

Reminds me how in tennis they have a legends tour where the old champions can still compete and it is kinda fun because they have clearly aged yet the talent is still there.
In motocross I cant really get into it. Some older guys that now have kids and other priorities cruising an AX track for a cheque doesn’t do it for me.

What will probably happen is within 2 to 3 years home grown young WSX talent, riders no one has heard of, will come through and be as big, or bigger than the AMA/Feld stars.

We get it bro, you're not a fan. You don't like that it could take some of the shine off AMA SX and you want it to be treated as an exhibition like Bercy, Genoa, etc. Luckily, it looks like it could turn out that way (or fizzle out), yet you're still banging the drum of hate.

They got 1st gate pick and $1000.
But it can be entertaining and I think they will have it coz with 22 entries there won't be heat races.

Who is the best SX rider in the world?

And where is he racing on October 8th?

Supercross is a show. The quality of the show - including tight and thrilling racing - is what will build crowds and make the series a success, or failure.
It is self-evident that due to ongoing contracts many of the current top AMA supercross riders (and yes, they are the world's best) aren't able to transfer to the new series...yet.
That said, WSX have signed some amazing riders already, and the quality of the racing is likely to be top notch, even if the ultimate pace may be a tad off the very top.

If you are a race fan, you will not be disappointed. If you only go along to collect autographs, you may be.

IF the new series is a success - and that will take 2-3years to determine - then more AMA pros will 'defect' and WSX will also grow its own talent. The future Marvs and Kens and Dylans andJetts may not need to choose the US path....

The US advantages are the huge stadiums, and a long-established series. The latter is now being challenged. Let's see.

Oh, and baseball is about as relevant to this discussion as cricket. Same tedium, different stick.

I think it's great that fans are going to get to see SX races outside of the US and happy that Eli will be racing one race out of three for what Eli himself said "for a wheelbarrow full of cash" but lets not forget the he will be racing much tougher competion in Paris...so lets be clear the best SX racer in the world, who is not a world champion, will only be racing one round of this three race championship....
