Been rumors floating around. Pretty sure I have not seen a bike pic yet. Even if it is a mock up.

I have been testing this 71 model for 20 years. Starts easy, goes downhill once in motion. Great buy based off scrap value! Fun motor cycle that does nothing well. But is still cool!!!!

I’m curious if it will take Triumph, Ducati, and Stark as long as it took KTM to catch up to the Japanese.

This image is floating around as well... I'm sure it's just more photoshop, but we can all hope that there is something behind all of these rumors.

My family owned one of these. Tons of power and that was about it.

If it’s a Desmo valve train, we could see some ridiculous redlines.

Should be interesting to see if they get a rider like Cairoli for development

I saw that pop up on my feed and I was 99% sure I had seen that rendering long ago. Thanks for digging it up.

I wonder what these companies are seeing that makes them believe now is the right time to jump into the MX/Enduro market? It will take them a decade to catch up to the near perfection being put out by Japan and Austria, and by then most if not all of the R&D will have moved on to electric. I wonder if these programs are just a loss leader of sorts to increase brand recognition and sell more road bikes? Or maybe they just hate money? lol

Regardless it will be cool to see Ducati and Triumph racing motocross if it happens

My guess is that it's the same reason Honda pays to race motocross and supercross. It's about brand image, not selling that exact model. I own a Honda motorcycle, which made me look at the Ridgeline, and ended up buying one. When I go to buy a generator, you can bet Honda is at the top of my list.

Ducati has a ton of money behind it with VW. If we see a MX come out of that factory you better believe it is going to be electric. They just released their prototype MotoE bike and with daddy VW behind them I'm sure they would push for an electric dirt bike if even that was actually something they are considering building.

Just because I said that, my heart and throttle hand votes desmosedici dirtbike. If you haven't had the honor of riding a V4 street bike (Ducati, Aprilia) you haven't lived. Probably the biggest smile a motorcycle has ever given me.

I know the Ducati people have been spotted, so what's the latest scoop on this?

Got a whole bunch of people upset with Triumph not showing their bike, yet Ducati is supposed to go racing next year and they haven't made an official announcement.

Any riders lined up? Team manager?

Where's the bike? Laughing

The motor looks like it weighs about 200 pounds all by itself.

That’s a photoshopped 2008 Aprilia 450 V-twin, they were surprisingly light. Back when everyone seemed to think that trying to reinvent the wheel was a good idea.
