Please only post your current times from this week. Next week we’ll put up new leaders. This is to encourage us to get after it and compete with each other. And really just to do the dang workouts!
Was reading thru old posts and saw this was a thing in the past.
Let’s bring it back.
Tonight I’m going to crank out the best times on the rower that I can and post them up.
I’ll do a
500m
1000m
5000m
And I’ll post my times.
They are going to be absolutely trash. But let’s get this going could be a fun thing to have going on here.
Maybe we can add other things too, running, bicycle whatever.
Edit : I’ll update the leader board as people post up times let’s gooooo.

General fitness
Time to complete 100 squats, 100 push-ups and 100 sit ups. (Can do them in any order, mix and match as you need just need to complete 100 of each as quickly as possible and record your time.)
I did the 100,100,100 in a time of
19:59 and it was a struggle!
Bicycle indoor and outdoor
Suggest some categories for cycling and I will add them
Feel free to suggest any others that you think many can compete in.

I’m doing the rower now actually instead of putting it off.
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
That 5k is a monster. From midway on was insane.
500m - 1:55 ish
1000m - 3:58
5000m - 21:46
I did them in that order with breaks and stretching long enough to get the heart rate and everything back to normal.
I'm way to undisciplined to ever go through with any serious diet plan. So I tried a few little changes hoping they become habit, like the new auto-pilot, wishful thinking I know.
Juice it up for lunch instead of Taco Bell or leftovers at the house. "Make" myself drink more water during the day, and try to have some semblance of portion control at dinnertime. I heard somewhere your stomach is about the size of your fist. Like that's the amount of food your body can process per feeding. Anything more and your just stretching your belly bigger and over working your guts. I have no idea if that's true or not but it helps me to not pile food 6" high on my plate, although I find myself trying to make my hand bigger, (like OJ putting on gloves ? lol). Anyway it seems to be working I hope it becomes a habit. Oh and better sleep is on the list too but that's a whole nother set of problems. Being back to work full time has helped.
Since this post is more about exercise and workout documentation than weight loss, I'll get back on topic and say I've been averaging 6-9K steps per day. That's probably what you guys do by 7am
I need to get my rower back from my old man.
Pit Row
Row 1:
1st (6:21.1, 100 pts)
Row 2:
1st (1:18:02.3 , 100 pts)
4x500 @1:2 1:35 pace (1:31, 34, 35, 35)
2x1000 @1:1 1:45 pace (3:30, 30)
1x2000 1:48 pace (7:20)
Fastest 500 is a 1:24 but only have photo proof of a 1:25. Think I’d struggle to break 1:30 now. Haven’t done a 5k in yonks, if so did it with kettlebells and burpees every 250m so no idea what that would have been time wise, not fun tho! 🤮🤮🤮
Have you guys used the ski-erg? I kinda don’t get it, the rower seems harder IMO.
1000m - 3.12
5000m - 18.36
These were both done this year
I'm doing summer activities now so will be back on my rower late fall and in winter.
Sub 2min 500m is mandatory, sub 4min 1000m is great and I am about the same as you for 5000m. A sub 5000m is doable with a lot of training and "mental strength" but in my books is very impressive!
Some mates who used to do actual regatta stuff smoke me tho, damn they’re fit… and tall/lean.
I can keep them in site for 500 but anything over a k, one of my buds in particular can just suffer and keep going. He’s a spook tho, does multi-day distance races running/riding/paddling etc. Freak mental control.
As for myself I ride mx fluid and with finesse, I have good strength but not a powerhouse. That translates to good times on the C2 but for a person with way more power especially leg squat strength can crush my times.
