Just wanted to see how many other fans of Pourcel are out there. Always liked the way he rode. He’s retired but still rides. I’m sure he’s still faster than prob 90% of the other riders that will be at these events anyway. Thoughts?

It isn't unthinkable that he's in for one of the French teams, he's close with BUD.

The only one I know that's signed with BUD at the moment is Cedric Soubeyras.

There's only 1 spot left on the GSM Yamaha team.

With everyone coming out of retirement, why not?

That would be cool but would Pourcel even want to?

I’d love to see it.

He’s an artist on a bike when he’s on.

Moss and I believe Blose are on BUD.

He wasn't comfortable racing supercross in 2017 and said it was too risky with his neck injuries, so it's seems unlikely that 5 years later he's going to race SX again.

I mean he is still riding on and racing supercross style tracks. Just on a much smaller scale

From the way its been described, sounds like the tracks will be pretty tame.

The real question is would anyone even want him. The storys that have been shared from others makes me believe hes a real asshole to work with.

Stop drinking Matthes jock tea. I’ve heard plenty of accounts from people who actually know him that say he’s actually a good guy who over time was kind of frustrating because his fear of getting hurt again overcame his elite talent

One memory that will always be burned into my brain was watching practice at STL when he was on a PC bike, he was rolling around most of the session, and suddenly decided to hit a section fast. It was a tight 90⁰ right after an over/under, and he went through it so mind bogglingly fast that I yelled out loud. It just didn't make sense how he went so much faster through it than anyone else had all day. Never saw him hit it that fast again.

Was gonna say if he still had it I would've like to see it. When he was comfortable on a bike he was poetry in motion.

Think I remember you saying this before. It's amazing how much of a thoughtful, technical rider Pourcel was, and yet he also had that crazy raw speed that he could turn on at any point. There was several years on the 250 outdoors where he pulled the fastest qualifying lap on the very last lap of almost every round like it was nothing. I think his own speed maybe scared himself sometimes and that's why he stayed pretty conservative in his final years when he had injuries.

Knowing some people that were extremely close to him, he sounds like he could be extremely difficult to work with.

I thought it was infinitely cool when “the duck” Canard made it clear how he thought Pourcel ought to be treated.
