Meanwhile, Justin Cooper has qualified almost 2 seconds a lap faster than Jett Lawrence at the last round, and we're contemplating sending the seventh place 450 rider..

Barcia got 13th on a 450 at the same track that we are having this year's MXoN.. I don't remember there being an injury like JCoop had at Assen.. remember his hand being jammed into Anderson's bike after the very first moto causing an injury that Cooper rode through to net that finish?

All these people saying Barcia would die for his country, where was that last time we gave him the honors to represent us, on a 450 that he rode every day no doubt?

Cooper also won his qualifying race against all those guys in your screenshot.

Craig on a star 250 at redbud would be way better. Listen to that bike labor down on a not deep glen helen track.

PC boys showed up really late, they just started their warm up when the TLD guys were done.

Imagine being one of the TLD 250 mechanics:

“We want you prep that bike for Justin to play on”
Nooooo!

That poor engine.

Since none of them are in a championship battle Bam, JCoop, and Craig should ride 250f's in the 450 class the rest of the MX season. Whoever finishes the season better gets to go to MXDN. They can also show their skills coming through the pack!

That seems crazy to me, why not just hang around. Imagine doing all that work to only find out later you are off the pace.

i guess the ease of prepping a ktm mxdn bike has locked it in for the 3rd rider.

I compared Justin Barcia and Justin Cooper's Red Bud results from this year and found something interesting.

They had the same race time, 36:49. Justin Barcia's time was a few tenths faster, but I would expect that because he's on a 450 and the 450s went first at Red Bud.

How anybody believes that Barcia should get the pick over Cooper completely baffles me.

It’s really hard to get perspective of speed when it’s just him. He doesn’t look incredible on it and/or the bike doesn’t look very fast. I think the Star Yamaha would be a better bike but I’m not sure Christian has the mental strength we need. I very well could be wrong.

I was at Red Bud in 2018 and Barcia rode like crap but I think he crashed several times and that whole weekend was so weird. It was like being on another planet compared to how that track normally is.
