I had started the career on the Xbox version when the game first came out and was just about ready to start the nationals on the 250 two stroke when I decided to wait for the patch to continue. I updated yesterday and started up again. Although the game plays better with the patch it still floors me that the 250 two stroke sounds so bad. I got through a couple of races but the sound on the 250 was so irritating that I turned the volume way down. The sounds really are terrible. I can’t wait to get past doing the two stroke nationals so I can move on to something else.

The four strokes don’t sound much better, sadly. The sounds also don’t match the throttle input. I’ll be going down hill and chop my throttle but my engine still sounds like I’m on the throttle.

Am I just not seeing the option or am I stuck on the worst sounding 2 stroke 250 in the entire history of video games for like 40 races? ( whole 250 career)
I have to assume this is a bug right?

Why do you post stuff like this? Literally no one cares. Play the games that you enjoy and stop being such a blow hard

Mine still glitches at high-speed. I like the career mode but I wish there wasn't so many cross country type races.

New patch should come out soon. Will add ama nationals to online. A bunch of other shit but that’s the main thing I care about.

Sorry. Thought this was a discussion on MvA Legends. Must have missed the part where it’s positive vibes only?

I’m sorry it hurt your feelings, you’re more than welcome to ignore my post? Plenty of others are having a negative experience, my opinions prior were from just watching videos but I hadn’t played it, now I have.
But of course, Enjoy the shit sounds and goony physics, keep giving this company your coin so they can keep producing the same polished turds. Silly

On instagram. Also they are fixing bugs, tweaking the physics even more. Update 1.08 should be finished soon. They teased that 1.09 will have a bunch of “fun” stuff in the works. They clearly intend to expand this game over the next couple of years. This is just the beginning.

Bone stock rmz450 that you can buy right from the start with no upgrades or tuning. I filmed these before the patch also. Feels just like reflex and alive to me. I think some of you that are expecting so much from a game need to just go ride

What is the cost if you buy the game + all manufacturers + nationals?

Raced online last night for a few races . The potential for this game is becoming obvious . I hope they work something out so leaning back in a rough section or rollers will yield more traction or keep the back tire in contact with the ground more. It seems to skim everything the same regardless if you lean back or not.

How did they suck you in?
Reading this thread helped me make the decision NOT to buy the game. Tons of bad reviews, and almost all the good reviews come with a significant caveat

Listen man. It’s cool to like the game, to each his own. But don’t ever put this game in the same area code as Reflex. I played the ever living fuck out of reflex, had to kick it to keep it alive, and played it even more. Same for alive. This game is not even close to being relatable to it lol.

Played MVA for ever, all out turned out good and got many hours of fun. I’m confident they will get it up to par.

Looking forward to more updates!

I love this game. I probably have over 40 hours in it already and I'm still learning little details about handling and whatnot that keep making the game feel new and fresh. I play in first person and hitting the ruts right just puts a damn smile on my face.

It reminds me of how I felt about MX Unleashed, I couldn't wait to get off the bus to play. It. It also reminds me of Reflex in the sense that I just can't stay away from it because the physics are so complex and I just want to figure it all out, especially on the rough tracks.

I remember taking days and weeks to wrap my head around how to play Reflex well. Even winning against the AI was hard. This game is the same, except it has a few kinks they are still polishing. Looking back with rose-tinted lenses I can't recall any bugs or funky BS in Reflex and I think that really solidified the insanely great legacy of the game.

Legends feels great to play when you are in The Zone. I love free riding around, especially at the 2022 National tracks, they have a ton of cool shit like pit bike tracks at Budds and epic metal freeway jumps at Thunder Valley. Going into a corner and braking, holding in the clutch, hammering the throttle and letting her eat just feels right. I could ride Red Bud all day hitting Larocco's leap from the inside.. its almost like riding, you just want to keep getting better and throwing more style in it as you progress. Timing jumps right feels great as well.

The things I dislike about the game I believe will get remedies in the near future but are part of the experience for now.
-The AI is good on some tracks and terrible on others for some reason.
-The off track reset is incredibly finicky, sometimes you get a reset back to track immediately as you go off track and other times you can ride off the track for entire sections.
-The sound mixing is also bugged, some tracks the music is almost twice as loud and even having it at the lowest volume drowns out the sound of most everything else.
-Trackside banners are immovable concrete calls while Tuff Blox basically are weightless and will go flying 100ft when you ram them. I really hate getting stuck behind sponsor banners because you just have to reset
-They start you with crappy unmodded bikes that seriously suck. Even now when I play with all my experience, they suck and make the racing not enjoyable. Which reminds me of why I ever decided to subject myself to that again:
-Split screen on PS5 requires a separate Playstation user account, which really sucked when I realized that means that my wife had to start on those crappy unmodded bikes. Why can't my second player use the bikes, UTVs, etc. that I've unlocked?

All in all, this game is my jam and I'm going to keep pumping hours into it. I havent even tried online yet, so that will be an entirely new challenge that I look forward to. If you made it this far then thanks for indulging me and here are some warm cookies 🍪

So I’m not usually one to just shit on games so close to release or really in general since I feel like every mx game has something to offer (besides MUD, fuck that game) but I just really couldn’t get into it. The gameplay itself was alright but the career not having a solid “format” if you will and essentially being a 1 moto 3 lap deal for every event REALLLLYYY killed it for me, also the limited customization. I’m going to give it a few months and try it again.

Playing MTX, MVA unleashed, all out and mxgp pro in the mean time

Yeah. This. One of the coolest feelings was watching Tomac absolutely rip Millville last weekend and then jumping in Legends afterwards and try and ride like he did. This is silly but I seriously felt like I nailed it, such a badass feeling that every rider wants to flow like 👍

I'm sure you guys already do this but I got A LOT faster when I started using the back brake separately from the front.

I really really enjoy this game, more so than All Out. They nailed the feeling of the weight and inertia of the bike, especially in corners and how you set up for jumps. I've been spinning laps at all the AMA tracks. My favorite is Washougal, it has incredible flow to it.

Excited for the coming updates. I would like to have the option to extend the Career races to 5 or 7 laps. 3 is just too few. The other thing I would like to see is adjusting how much gyroscopic effect the bike has in the air. Bringing back whips and scrubs requires too much input IMO and it feels kinda unnatural. I would like the bike to straighten itself out more, like how a real bike does.

The more I play, the more fun I have. I only play in first person so the rider movements, while still wonky, don't really bother me too much.

Oh, and track deformation. That's one area where I think they're still pretty far off the mark. Having the bikes make more narrow, deeper tracks rather than the wide and shallow thing they have going on right now.

I totally agree about the bike in the air. The gyro effect is too exaggerated and revving the bike while whipping should help straighten it back out.
