Stilez seems like a cool guy.

I find it funny how when Jett crossjumped into Forkner in SX, the major narrative being pushed was that it was a racing incident and that it would be childish and immature to be angry at Jett.

But when a Lawrence brother is on the receiving end of an unfortunate racing incident, an angry, hot-headed reaction is totally warranted.

I'm not saying Hunter has no right to be upset. I'm also not saying Jett should've be crucified for his incident with Forkner. My point is that there are lots of double standards and mental gymnastics regarding situations involving the Lawrence brothers.

Did you forget the part where Jett said "My bad dude, I f'd up and I hate to see you hurt" immediately after on live TV though? Not saying Hunter didn't lose his cool, but Stilez was in his face too.
Stilez defended himself, he didn’t get up into hunters face for no reason

It will be interesting to see how hunter performs next week.
I feel like he has been mentally broken now.
Hunter is a great racer/rider but you can tell living in the shadow of his younger brother is slowly eroding him.

I lost respect for him when he grabbed Robertsons helmet. Not a classy move, regardless of how fired up he was.

On a side note. Did you guys see what jett did when his bike blew up at redbud?
He was obviously shattered but he didn't get angry once. Then he went straight back to the wash bay and helped the mechanics wash the bike. He was spraying the soap spray on it.

Anybody judging Hunter or Robertson for any part of this just doesn't get it. These are the elite of the elite at the highest level in their sport.
This isn't a Friday night race, or an open ride day. Every one of you judging the emotional reaction would almost positively have a more dramatic reaction if this happened to you at your local track.
I highly doubt Robertson cross-jumped on purpose, he has zero history of dirty riding. Also Hunter was probably already pissed and redlining because he was losing points in that moto.
The yelling and helmet grab was an emotional reaction, and Robertsons reaction was warranted.
I would bet both of these guys are already over the entire thing, looking for ways to be better next week.
I get it, this is a moto forum and we will argue to the death about stuff the riders already forgot.
I love the fight and passion out of BOTH these kids.

Easy dude…. Can’t point out the double standard without the Lawrence brother nut huggers wanting to burn you at the stake.

But I agree, Jett and Hunter can do no wrong in some peoples eyes and any issues with them seem to be other peoples fault.

Jalek Swoll pulled a very similar plausibly deniable cross on Jett in Moto 1 last year.

What does one have to do with another? Austin Forkner and Jett Lawrence aren’t Hunter Lawrence and Stilez Robertson.

I definitely agree the Lawrence brothers get the benefit of the doubt FAR more than other riders, and their mistakes or failures usually don't get much attention...
That doesn't mean Hunter was wrong this time though.
Also I seem to remember MANY people piling on Jett for making that mistake and cross-jumping Forkner.

Apparently there is a video where this continued in the pits. I cannot find it though.

Is there something wrong with that link or is it just me?

It works for me still. It's a screen recording of a TikTok post. On my iPhone a box pops up to view or download and I just clicked view.

I didn’t say Hunter was in the wrong until right now x I just watched it again and when they landed, Stilez bike was just about on the farthest left part of the track. I’d really like to see what happened from the other side of the jump because from where they landed I saw nothing wrong on Stilez end. He was in front of Hunter.

Blatant cross jumping is always bullshit, but I see no evidence of that in this situation.
Same with Jett’s situation in SX with Austin. Jett his the tough block and that sent him sideways.

As always, when you are behind someone, you are always at their mercy. Especially when it comes to being that close coming up to and going over jumps.

It is just Hunter telling Stilez to F Off. Stilez took the high road and Hunter carried on like a petulant brat. That is why Stilez has gained a new fan in me today.

Ride your heart out, own your mistakes and move on. Some people no matter their age just aren't mature enough to process that. If the shoe is on the other foot I am not sure Hunter would have handled it as well as Stilez.

I'm a Stilez fan, and not a Lawrence fan boy, but how can you say Stilez took the high road when he is the one who was at the Honda pits?
If you're talking about in his interaction with Hunter right when they pulled off the track, I do agree with that.

Exactly. He didn't start it and I was impressed how he kept his composure when Hunter grabbed his helmet. Yes he pushed Hunters helmet, but he didn't back down. Stilez made a new fan out of me for not taking Hunter's shit...or losing his shit and going Weston on his ass.

Jesus, who cares... Lol. I'm sure they'll both put it behind them. This is nothing unless intentional on track incidents start to happen (money is on nothing happening).

Go and listen to Swap moto Live or Racer X Best post-race show. Stilez was interviewed in both. I am an Aussie, I am a fan of the Lawrence boys but Hunter was the issue here not Stilez.

I'm not every moto fan ever but just saying that at the time Forkner would've been well within his right to lose his shit at Jett and honestly as guilty as he felt Jett should've received more backlash for it. This situation I'm on Hunter's side (assuming Stilez did crossjump or cut him off on the face of the jump, intentional or not)

Surprised at a lot of the reactions here too, talking about how Hunter showed poor form or whatever. Seems like a weird thing to complain about in motocross knowing who the fanbase is made up of.

Yeah ok, well I'm not gonna judge Hunter too harshly as that was the usually the temperature I ran at if I felt hard done by.. Not proud of it but some of us aren't blessed with the ability to make the mature correct decision every time!
Again I like that Stilez wasn't gonna take it if he didn't feel he deserved it..

I'm on not on either side.. Just a couple of kids releasing their wiggles!

Exactly.
I like the passion from Hunter, I like Stilez not backing down, and I like Stilez owning up to the mistake in interviews.
If Hunter doubles down and still has a problem then he's definitely in the wrong. I haven't seen an interview with him though.

Did I miss something? Why did Hunter ride like shit the second moto? Surely not because he had hurt feelings from this?

Where can I find the interview where Stilez owned up to his mistake? Can't really tell from the clips posted, but he did admit it was his fault? Like someone above said this isn't a Friday night C class race and emotions can run high. Especially for Hunter losing his red plate to his younger brother. I still like how Stilez handled himself. It's pro racing with lots of money and points on the line, not to mention young guys with testosterone still flowing at a high level. We've all been there and once they have a few days to cool off they will be fine.
