Alex Lifeson has always been one of my top guitarists. I know a lot of people don't enjoy listening to Rush (I myself do), but there's no denying he wrote some killer riffs & solos.

I’ve been a fan since 2006 when I first heard them on trailer park boys. It was one of those moments when you hear a song then you have to buy all the albums and get caught up.

They’re honestly amazing and deserve way more respect than they get. They’re in my top 5 of favorite all-time bands.

The man got super sick and still has to train during the week and try to recover then fly to races.... Us keyboard moto'rs and part-time racers have more time to recover after illness/injuries.

anyhow the dude is sitting 3rd in points.... The way the moto rope hangs; the dude should have a ton of slack. as hes earned it.

Agreed! My Dad used to only listen to sports talk radio in the car. But I remember going out to the track and it was all Dire Straights. Dire Straights was the one and only concert we attended by ourselves at the Greek Theater in Berkeley. Just him and I. No mom or 3 sisters just him and I. It was amazing to see that side of my Dad and is one of my fondest memories. He passed in 2014 and everytime I hear "Walk of Life" I tear up a bit thinking about that epic concert. Dire Straights was amazing live.

Just rewatching Southwick, damn it's a shame Kenny's fitness is fucked, the technique is still so good, all the little hops and timing things, staying light on the bike.

I wonder if he and Aldon could patch it up could he bring his fitness back around. Surely it's not just lost forever...

There’s some things you can’t get back. Kenny does not have the endurance to compete with guys like sexton and Tomac over a full season. These guys aren’t robots. It’s not put x work in get y out. Some guys will naturally have more endurance and stamina regardless of training. Whether it’s due to all his surgeries or something else it doesn’t appear Kenny can maintain the same speeds as the other top guys for a full moto. He’s given himself plenty of opportunity to get in shape over the last couple years.

Eli doesn’t even look winded after those two Moto’s at southwick.

His injuries have obviously taken a massive toll on his body, not just the surgeries but all the drugs and meds to keep the arm, multiple times under anesthetic etc.

The pattern is clear, he prepares his body the best he can for the season does very well as you'd think from Kenny for the first few rounds of SX/MX then the body just can't keep up in what he demands, it must be extremely frustrating for him.

If they raced after 2/3 weeks he would be doing very well but that's obviously not the case.

Kenny looked smooth and was fast yesterday. He should hold his head up high for yesterday. He worked his ass off and was a such a gentleman to everyone.

I'm not a Roczen fan in any sense, his excuses and random injuries/random sickness he get's every time he gets tuned up bother me. Anderson got landed on at the MXDN a few years back, Dungey broke his neck and didn't use that as an excuse, etc etc. You're bound to get hurt competing in this sport from some C class race in some small town to being a top level pro race. It's part of the sport.

It's all kind of bittersweet with regard to Ken. It's a f-cking miracle that he is still out there racing at the tip of the spear on any given day really. He's done so well with a recovery from not one but two really shitty arm injuries in the space of a couple years it is amazing. When I step back and look at it I just feel fortunate that we still get to see him go out and carve up a track. Can he hang with Eli physically for 30 +2 week in week out? Nope but he still shows off how brilliant he is on a regular basis.
